TL;DR: We're starting from a clean state and have demodded everyone as we build a new mod team over the coming days.
Hey guys!
This is something that Nathan has wanted to do for a while, and with the events of the past few days it's been making a lot more sense for me. We're starting the moderator team anew and will be building it from the bottom up over the next coming days.
The mod team hasn't been working well, and with this restart we have the potential of building a better team with less conflict and controversial actions like the ones that have been happening recently. We'll be building the new mod team from a small selection of existing mods and new mods. We will not be re-modding certain moderators.
I want to thank the existing mods for being part of the EM, and I'm sorry for those who aren't being remodded, but it's nothing personal (and please don't take it personally! you're great) and this is for the best.

did that say bebop and expose instead of lono and expose..??
New moderators We've added charley, Enamored, and prayag as moderators. These are not the only mods we'll be adding, as we'll be adding completely new moderators as well as previous moderators in the coming days as we work out the team.
If you have sent in an application, we will review it and let you back in the coming days. To improve our processes and feedback, we're using a Trello to keep track of mod applications, and I will reply to every full application. If you weren't selected, we will provide feedback behind our reasoning and tips on how to improve!
If you are interested in modding, feel free to send me an app via PM, Skype, etc.
If you were an existing mod and expressed continued interest to mod and/or sent in an application, you were not rejected (yet), we've only started off the mod team with a small seed and we'll be reviewing and modding it more over the coming days.
Also, if you're curious, we're going to be trying out Slack for mod chat for its feature set, conversational threading, reactions, API/bot support, and there'll be a new bot called Detective that will support transparent alt checks.
