I'll take on the tradition started by Nitroxium for a few years and continued by aquarius last year.
Basically this is a competition to pick the best user of the year.
What should you take in mind for this? EVERYTHING! From how good they are at playing the game, to how much you like them personally, and everything else you can think of.
In this thread you will post your nominations. They can be as many as you want, and you can also nominate yourself.
Every nominated user will be taken in mind. And I will add users that weren't nominated but I feel like they deserve to be in the competition.
This competition is supposed to be about current players, or at least players that added a lot to the site in 2016. People who haven't played much or at all since 2015 shouldn't be nominated.
This competition is also supposed to be a Sandbox thing. So users that mainly play in other lobbies will not be taken in mind.
I will need a certain specific amount of players, so there is a chance that not everyone nominated will be in the final competition, but I will try to add the big majority, and I will ask people who they think are the less deserving of being in the competition out of the ones in doubt.
There will be a total of 256 players with groups of 4 each.
The 2 of each group that pass to the next round will be passed on to the next round and from there on it will be a regular bracket tourney, made in Challonge.
But I'll tell you more about that later.
For now, drop your nominations. They can be either posted here or pm'd to me.
Also if someone does NOT want to be in this, you can also let me know either in private or here, and I will nullify your nominations.
Nominations will go up till either December 8th or December 10th.
From there on, the group stage will last around 5 days, and every other round will last around 2 days.
I more than likely forgot some but I am way to lazy to make another list.

I know she's already been nominated, but I nominate Golbolco. Golb cares about the community, has worked for it endlessly, and is one of the friendliest people I've ever encountered on EM. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.

I do not sugarcoat things like you are used to in life. The fact is that this prestigious title of "Best Sandbox User" is being treated as a joke with nominations of people such as Blister, Art, TheStyleAisle, Dia, Ashe, etc.. Half of these nominees do not even play games of mafia regularly and are stationed in the chatbox 24/7, the other half are mediocre players at best when they do play mafia.
Their level I have surpassed -- I am on an entirely different level than these users. So high. To not nominate me is to disrespect what this competition is really about -- the best user.
That's it SO FAR, I will probably end up adding more. These are just people that, in my opinion, make Sandbox worth being a part of an bring a positive aspect to the community, however that may manifest itself.

You know poking fun at people before a competition where they'll be voting for who they like the most isn't the best move you could take
I guess, but it'll only count for people I don't know much or that are in the doubt, people that I already know are popular will be included with just one nom
Amelio, if someone has nominated people you would like to nominate, is it the same as like giving them extra nominations and a better chance they'll make it to rounds or?
