Everyone wants their role to be added. This isn't for everyone.
While lucid is actually active at present, this thread is for fixing roles and mafia-related features. Improving the game itself is more important than adding a bunch of role clones.
the problem with item stacking is that it effectively fast-forwards the game by creating more potential for excess items than would otherwise be possible, which isn't good outside of large setups, and in large setups it's not even likely to occur so the only place it could work is where it would be least effective
gameplay-wise, one of each item at a time is better
also cutler can be competitively viable so making it an exception isn't a good idea either

they already don't stack, i think you want them to stack which isn't a good idea in practice especially outside of sandbox where it makes a huge difference and this feature would affect all of mafia
A main setup is setup that is always posted all the time. Does matter if everyone else eccepts it as main or not. It matters to be posted all the time, and people to make all sorts of variations of it.
Same reason fancy pants is pretty much the main setup of the other lobby.
Sandbox is the land of the free! Sandbox is the core of Mafia! Sandbox is place without laws and everyone has FREEDOM and FUN . The FUN to have everything at the same time, and randomness at every corner. This is what SANDBOX stands for ! BOX BOX BOX MAKE BOX GREAT AGAIN!!!
there's a common misconception that, in sandbox, random = fun
this misconception died with the maid because people quickly learned that when the game gets so far out of their control, playing doesn't even matter anymore. who cares if mafia or town wins, i might maid mafia or town, or maybe i'll get maided, who knows better to just tab out.
someone who doesnt think first might say, "but closed roles are kinda random!" they're definitely pretty mixed up, but closed roles add a new dynamic to the game: you don't know who's in the game, you have to find out. now, roles like maid add on top of that: you don't know who's in the game, and they keep changing too. at first it was enough spice to add flavor, but then you dump the whole bottle out and it tastes horrible
i used the maid example because maid is a role that's been through the same thing trickster will go through
I think you can let this one go, cub. It's never going to be a serious role and that means it doesn't warrant serious discussion. Let it stay and people have their fun. I, for one, won't be putting it in my setups and I think after a while people will find it too chaotic to play.
Now , with a bomb, and random chance the item to be fake, it makes it more viable. Instead of everyone knowing the items are 100% real or 100% fake, they won't.
The bomb is there to confuse even further.
The entire point of trickster is to confuse everyone as much as it can.
