I'm not sure a narcissist like Trump can actually comprehend Mutually Assured Destruction.

You know what is really bad for the environment, Mist? A nuclear holocaust started by a man who had to ask a military adviser 3 times why nuking all of our enemies was not a valid tactic.

The fact that you don't comprehend that a global superpower's policy on the environment can affect not only its own nation but also affect the policy of other nations is legit idiotic, dude.

Legit, bro?

On my list of worries about a Trump presidency global warming has to be between numbers 30 and 40

Imagine electing the most mentally unstable leader in decades and immediately worrying about how he is going to affect global warming over the next four years. Somehow I'm a little more worried about being drafted LOL!

US policy on global warming will not make a large difference in the world.

Yes. It. Will.

People like you make me kind of understand how Trump got elected. Not really, because I'm way smarter than you and way too smart to ever even entertain Trump's con, but I can empathize with them when you post.

You're the idiot. It is you.

Well I mean, I'm politically on your side in every issue I think, I just can't stand you or the way you think about things is all! :)

But he can commit our policy towards essentially ignoring what we agreed to, which won't go unnoticed. Nothing about the agreement binds us to act in certain ways.

Donald Trump doesn't even have the unilateral authority to pull out of the Paris Agreement anyway, not that I believe he actually cares about doing so.

this isn't some crazy reactionary view I'm expressing here. We're a huge, important nation, with a large economy. Part of the reason developing nations are resistant to fighting against climate change is the impact on industry. If a developed nation like the United States suddenly makes a show of going back against all environmental policy and prioritizes industry, you bet developing nations are going to take it as an excuse to do the same.
