This is the most clear cut not to mention disgusting HC I've ever seen on the site and you just no vio'd it. This is unrelated to the harassment violation I didn't even request be given, which was given for an entirely different thread. The fact that I initially banned thecolonel for this (which is still what should happen, but I digress) is completely irrelevant. It's disgusting that you think the only appropriate violation for this entire affair is a single warning and that he shouldn't even be marked down for hateful comments.
Edit: I appreciate people backing me up on this but I've made my point clearly and the mod team as a whole apparently disagrees. It's regrettable this kind of hate speech isn't dealt with more severely. However, there's no point in bickering further if the mods feel rule technicalities trumps all.
No, he got a warning/forum suspension for the first thread by you yourself. He then got a violation after making the second thread and countinuing the harassment.
I dont really condone thecolonels behaviour and think its fine on any level whatsoever, but I cant give 2 community violations for the same thing, its unprecedented as far as Im aware. We do have rules for a reason

He got a violation for a different thread which was deserving of harassment on its own. And then because that violation hadn't been given yet, they decided this doesn't get anything extra and all the guy gets is a warning.
He got harassment for something else and they wrapped it all up as "one instance". Doesn't mean you have to use technicalities to protect them and give them only a warning for heinous acts either.
imo if mist is telling the truth with those excerpts, give harassment (unless he already got it...?) but, i also wasn't there so i don't want to give an opinion without seeing everything first. #canadian

1) Pretty sure a forum suspension and being told to step off is a very clear warning which separates this into two instances.
2) Even if it doesn't (it does), this isn't a court of law. Ban the guy from the site, he shouldn't be here after posting that.

Did thecolonel make a thread like this to specifically stir some drama? Almost certainly so.
Does he know there are users where this topic directly applies? Absolutely.
These sorts of discussions, objectively, do not equal hate, in my opinion. These things need to be discussed and debated because people on both sides are passionate and stubborn. People and their beliefs evolve based on these kind of discussions. Was he objectively wrong to speak about this at all? I don't know.
However, I believe thecolonel knew very well what he was saying and where he was saying it, probably knowing exactly what was going to happen. I assume whatever the final verdict of this report is will add flames to kroe drama, but maybe not.
TL;DR thecolonel shouldn't have made the thread knowing that there are some users who are transgendered. At least he deserves a violation, more than just a warning.
