there's this one person whose posts are much more...comprehensive, i think, and better wording how i feel but as of late but it was just over offputting how bismuth ended up compared to, say...centipeetle? and how the ending of the episode was totally unnecessary.
i understand that bismuth is voice by a guest star but they could have easily written her out in another way rather than treating her like they did i guess is what i'm saying.
pearl > rose quartz (even if we haven't seen her lol) > garnet > lapis > amethyst > peridot > jasper
if jasper gets a redemption arc she'll move up for sure on this list, i'm not ranking bismuth on this and also the bismuth episode's ending isn't good imo and i didn't like it and the cn crew could have done better. but no spoilers since it isn't aired yet.
This show is why I haven't been playing EM recently trustory.
Anyways, I think we need to talk about this latest episode, and how utterly and tragically wrong it was.
I am, of course, referring to them calling Pearl the best gem. Bird mom has her moments, but clearly, Triangle Gal is superior in every way. End of discussion.

The first half of season 1 lacks substance and Steven seems like a really annoying main character, so most people brushed it off as just another cartoon for kids.
The show picks up in story around halfway into season 1, as it picks up in quality, story, and all-around enjoyment. I dunno how to exactly put it but it's a really pretty show. The fandom is as toxic as they come but the show itself is unique, new and open-minded and a fresh breath to the cartoon world.
