As Lucid has become more active in the past week fixing bugs and working on new additions to the site, not all of his changes have made the community happy. Specifically, it was discovered today that Lucid had removed the original and Muskratte-style role icons in favor of the Blave-style role icons.
In both Main lobby and Sandbox, this change has been met with considerable backlash, especially amongst older players who only had the original icons to go off of.
User Bebop has done his best to explain Lucid's reasoning: "one of the conditions that new roles were added was if a singular icon art style was implemented". However, it doesn't appear that many are taking this answer as satisfactory.
"In my opinion, lucid had always had a soft spot for the blave icons, which is why they became the default for new players and why they are the only choice now. I do think that there are problems with the blave icon set. the classic icons, while some might find them ugly, served their purpose very well by being different and simple" says EM veteran sl0nderman.
In the chatbox, this decision has reignited the old but now futile debate of which role icon set is the best. Muskratte? Blave? Original? It doesn't matter anymore, since Lucid's made his mind up, but old habits die hard.

Is it possible that user Ben knew about Lucid's plan and preemptively dropped his icons now so as to gain favor with the Wangster and rise to EpicMafia power as an admin? Probably.
