Spamming in sandbox games

Is spamming in sandbox games against the rules? I was given a vio for spamming in a sandbox game which I'm not too fussed about. But what I am fussed about is the inconsistency with which this rule is applied.

What irks me is that, while providing evidence of this rule not being applied elsewhere, my second appeal was sustained without any reasoning given or any mention of the other report.

There was a previous thread made on the topic by Vilden which was deleted for I don't know what reason [img]

Mods, I want to know once and for all. Is spamming in a sandbox game an offence.

I really wonder why is it so difficult for so many of the mods this website has or has had to behave like normal human beings.

Like, I get it, you're REALLY COOL for being a moderator of EpicMafia dot com, but having that star next to your username should normally be enough to fulfill your sense of self-importance. Drop the attitude when you're interacting with the community.


i just answer with honesty, i don't bother trying to dress up my posts in any other way

here we have a user with a legitimate question, a legitimate case. the rules should be updated. you can't punish a user for something that isn't in the rules, period.

We have a bit of problem with the rule page but I will be announcing it and making a thread in the sandbox forum.

okay, i've actually heard this before, but I'm pretty sure there are cases where appeals can be appealed. Also if this isn't true, antikrist kind of responded in a way that sounds like they are considered: "appeals of appeals are usually redundant so I close them" instead of "appeals of appeals are always closed"

I'd like to suggest that it be reviewed how mods deal with the community and changes be made. But that's an entirely different argument for another thread.

A ruling has been made and I have nothing more to add.

Also, since spamming has been banned for disrupting games, can we also report users for suiciding after being voted or for intentionally breaking games? To what extent have the rules changed if "disruption" is no longer allowed in Sandbox?


wertyo's alleged spam was such a mild case too. There's already a spam filter, this rule should have more leniency in sandbox

This right here shows how out of touch you are with the community. Just because it isn't a big deal in your eyes doesn't mean everyone feels the same. A vio given under dubious circumstances should always be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.





Again, this post is filled with nothing but a single word answer without anything extra to add. Say what you will but it screams "I'm going to sarcastically reply because I know everything and I'm going to show it off".

You've got nothing more meaningful to say here and, like antikrist, you've completely run out of things to say.
