P.S.A. to all the 18-19 year old angsty kids defending the NRAs stance on gun control: they aren't taking away call of duty, you can still play that.

Most gun violence is also through gangs though

I'm pretty sure people don't worry about that in their day-to-day lives anyways?
Guns do way more good than harm.
Give up your freedoms for security and you'll eventually lose both. You won't deserve either of them at the point.
So you're saying nothing should be done because you won't feel secure without a gun (which, i doubt, you even own)?
What about the kids who died in Sandy Hook, or the people shot in the movie theater in Colorado, or the dozens of people shot while away at college?
How do guns do more good than harm?
Just wondering, do you support stricter gun laws or the abolition? If the latter, will anyone have guns? As in, government officials, police, security, etc?

once you stop selling guns you can make the punishment for being caught in posession of a firearm, comitting act with a firearm or any other firearm related instances much more severe, instead of you know, making black people go to jail for years for being in posession of marijuana
I for one think it's easier read minds than it is to stop people from purchasing firearms that can shoot over 100 rounds per second, what about you guys?
And yes, I believe the government is responsible for protecting their own citizens before they stick their neck out to help someone on the other side of the world.
ok, crazy idea, how about to protect the citizens of the united states of america, you place restrictions on gun purchases so the citizens of the united states of america don't have to worry about getting shot every time they go to an appointment at planned parenthood, or go watch a movie, or god forbid go away to college, OR, worry about their KIDS getting shot at a school?
Weird thought huh
bu-bu- mah constitution!!!!

no, I'm not in favor of spitting on the constitution and giving the government more power for the sake of passing laws that make us feel like we're actually making a difference. I'm willing to debate gun control, but we weren't having a gun control discussion until you came in. How hard is it to understand that there are other aspects to mass shooting other than gun control. And once again, no, suicide rates have NOTHING to do with mass shooting rates
Equating the placement of stricter background checks on gun purchases to "spitting on the constitution" is laughable and so is your complete disregard for people's freedom to live vs. freedom to carry a tool made for taking away the freedom to live.
For the record, there is literally no other option to prevent mass shootings other than to place restrictions on gun purchases.
"They're mentally ill, so let's treat their illness"
Yeah? How do you imagine that will work?
Next you'll say Australia's an entirely different culture, almost alien, so whatever worked there, would never work here.
