Since the New Roles thread has become overwhelmed with self-advertising, I think a poll would encourage more discussion. I'm using a list I was given for the options in the poll, so sorry in advance if your role isn't on there.

there's no way to do that without letting people write raw code and im not sure that's a good idea even in a controlled environment because have you seen the site lately
No, Lucid seriously should develop an API or a significantly more intricate role creator so that people are actually motivated to create and buy custom roles. It would be sure income.
1. challenges a player to a duel during the day 2. the challengee receives a notice at night with the duelist's name* 3. both receive a gun that can only hit eachother (you can limit gun options if you want, but it would be more authentic and interesting if misfiring was still a possibility) 4. anyone killed in a duel will not have their will revealed (prevent outing duelist) 5. if duelist is killed at night, the other participant will be revealed (deter mafia killing duelist; could be strategically beneficial with tailor) 6. duelist wins after 3 successful duels
additional 7. duelist gun would be a regular gun, simply with a duel flag (similar to how fab gun overrides real guns but with a sab flag, i assume)
optional 8. if it's not too much effort, preventing members of a duel from speaking until one has shot would prevent spoilsports from outing duelist instantly on day start, but we could just look down on those people instead since it's a lame thing to do in an unranked game
* notice could be something like: (Name) has challenged you to a duel! Shoot them before they shoot you tomorrow!
For Duelist, can the gun miss? does the person challenged know who (s)he is dueling? why can't i just limit the targets in the Gun meeting dropdown box to only the opponent?
Does Lucid provide an API, or are we supposed to just write pseudo code? And how do we test it, or at least view the code of other roles so we know what works and what does not?
i had a dream about EM last night, and i entered a certain number on the game thing and it put me in a game against one role and the role was gambler and gambler was a mafia role, and then i saw a full body picture of gambler and damn
