First, I thought it should be town and if lynched be like a punishment (just like LK & Leader), but now I think it's better being mafia since mafia will have a guaranteed kill but they'll have one less mafia. If it were town, there would probably be some trolling but with it being mafia it's more balanced.
I also think it could replace Secretary role since there are already enough town punishment roles.

Like a Consigliere but better. Consigliere will always want to convert themselves to mafia N1, but Apprentice doesn't have this option. When the last mafia is killed, they will kill at night, simple but good.

Assassin (by B3D14, revised by me)
- Receives two targets, one at a time.
- At night, may (or not) choose to kill the target given.
- When assassin kills that target, another one appears and same decision should be taken.
- If investigated when decides to kill, will appear guilty (Assassin for detective). If that night doesn't kill, will appear innocent (Villager for detective).
- Wins only if the two targets are killed by them and still alive at the end of the game. Win does not override other victories (e.g: Monk win).
- Sided with the third party.
