Hello Sandboxers. Lucid is interested in making new roles, and I know you guys have a bunch of good ideas, so what I'd like to do is get a list of all of the best ideas in this thread and have a poll that you guys can vote on for lucid to make.
On an unrelated note, if you guys know of any bugs with existing roles, please PM me so I can test it out and forward it to lucid so they can get fixed
Lone Druid - 3rd party - Each night, you can summon a spirit bear (max 1) - The bear stay as an extra player control by AI and by you, it can't talk, you control how the bear vote and all its other actions (at day and night). The bear has no action at night btw - When Lone druid dies, its bear dies. If the bear somehow survives (vest) then let it survives - Win if Lone druid or his bear become the last 2 alive

Dullsmith -each night, turns someone into a blue villager -disables all parties while still alive -no one shares a meeting at night while dullsmith is alive -if visited by town, visitors turn into a dullsmith which share a meeting -no one wins if more than 3 dullsmiths alive
Sided with 3p

Role swapper -swaps two peoples roles one night, role blocking both of them for that night only -sided with the mafia

Suicidal woman -at night gets a message 'you really want X to kill you' -If X kills you, you win -If you die from someone other than X, X dies -If X dies, nothing happens -X can be maf/third/town -X lynching you does count (as long as you die) -sided with 3p
Anakin -Sided with the mafia -Is only told he is mafia the night after the first mafia death, appears to self as vanilla town before that -Revealed as Anakin upon death
• sided with the village • talks to the dead at night • remains anonymous • seen as sided with village
please god i need this role in this game otherwise this is a pain in the . might be indirect meta (lmfao not really) but it is helpful especially when the dead are and the medium has to take the crap
∆ third party ∆ during each day, can choose to change between four different suits, each suit will grant the furry a different power on the following night (will not have a suit on n1) ∆ the suits are as follows:
º wolfie - the furry imitates the aggressive emotions of a wolf and will be able to attack someone on the following night. however, because the furry is not actually a werewolf, the furry will only have a 50% chance of killing the person and a 50% chance of failing to kill that person and revealing themselves
º pingu - the furry emulates the investigative prowess of the penguin and can check someone out and receive a penguin report about them
º thulu - the furry gains an epiphany of insight into the old gods and dons a suit in their honor. anyone visiting the furry on this night will go mad for a day and a night (and cured afterwards)
º ducky - the furry turns heel and chooses their own destiny to be an apprentice to the quack. on this night, the furry can choose someone to heal, but due to the fact that they are not actually trained in this maneuver, the furry will only have a 50% chance to save/cure their patient and a 50% chance to poison them
∆ sided with the town party ∆ once per game, if were to be killed at night, will temporarily survive the encounter ∆ on the following day, will receive a gun ∆ at the end of that day, they will die
∆ sided with the townies ∆ once per game, can choose to worf it up at night ∆ if he chooses to worf it up, all kills on that night will be redirected to him and blocked ∆ however, worf enters a coma on the following day, blinding, fiddling, and preventing him from using items or voting
∆ townie ∆ each night can choose to spank someone ∆ if they are naughty (i.e. not town), they will be converted into a mason ∆ if they are nice (town) they will see the spanking as an affront to their freedoms and rebel, turning themselves into a hooker or a strongman
∆ third parties ∆ each night, can take one of three actions, to Lend, to Borrow, or to Reserve ∆ if the banker chooses to lend during the night, the banker will block any actions taken on them, and everyone who visits the banker will get a random gift (random split between a real gun, vest, bread, crystal, key, or their fake item equivalents) ∆ if the banker chooses to borrow during the night, they will receive a random gift with the same principles as described above ∆ if the banker chooses to reserve, anyone who visits the banker will have their items taken by the banker. if the items are fake or otherwise not "good", they will be converted to regular items. ∆ can only win by themselves
∆ sided with the mafia party ∆ each night can DDoS someone ∆ all communications and votes and day actions will appear to the DDoS victim a random value between 30 to 60 seconds later (or just make it a flat 45 if thats too hard)
Like Jampire's but I want to make it less OP and more fun.
Cat -Third Party -Has 9 lives. Loses a life if night-killed, shot, bombed, etc. -Visits someone each night. If that person is a non visiting role, they get petted and gain 1 life. -Random events happen each night that can take away any number of lives (if you're unlucky it can take away like 5) such as getting hit by a car, having bottles thrown at it, starvation. These events are unrelated to the roles in the game, they simply happen. (maybe there could be good events too?) -Dies if loses all lives. Wins if survives.
I want to have a go at making an Assassin role too.
Assassin -Third-party -Assigned a target each night; can be of any alignment. -Must kill the person the next day. If they fail, they're penalised. (Nothing happens, but they get a message.) -Dies if fails three times. Wins if successfully assassinates three people.
Neighbor -Targets a player at night. -Reveals to this person that they're the neighbor, thus confirming themselves as a clear. -Sided with the village.
They don't know the alignment of the person they revealed themselves to. It's kinda like a celebrity but not a celebrity at the same time.
Gunslinger -Sided with the village -When selected as the target of a gun, the gunslinger instead shoots the shooter -If the original shooter is killed, their shot never happens. -If the original shooter survives, his shot happens as normal, potentially killing the gunslinger -All guns count, even fabricated ones
