Stop complaining, all the "noobs" in training could just as easily play comp games before. The point requirement didn't change.

The only thing that could have changed is that noobs are actually TRYING to play comp games. As much as you hate that, it's the best for the site. Everyone was a noob once, buying a comp ticket didn't make anyone better. It's just more people are trying comp setups, which will make them improve.

The merge is good

the problem is most people don't care about learning. Numerous times I've politely explained why someone lost the game in the least condescending way possible, but most people don't care. They mishammer and just wait for the next game to isp on.

In my opinion, notes and eventually vios should be given out for "bad play" as a negative reinforcement since obviously positive ones (points/trophies) don't work.

you'd just be complaining about training players ruining your games there too again

the quality of games in main lobby ranges from good to terrible. if you try to only play with players you know won't make stupid mistakes it really isn't that bad

Dude this debate ended months ago. You all were complaining that the lobby was dieing because no one was joining, and when you asked training why it was, ITS BECAUSE THERE WAS A BIAS AGAINST YOU GUYS THAT SAID YOU ALL WERE STUCK UP. Not saying you are, I know plenty of comp players who are nice, but the fact is comp would be well on it's way to being laid to rest in a grave had it not merged with training. At least now you have new players joining. TAKE THIS FCKING OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN THOSE NEW PLAYERS INSTEAD OF SHUNNING/SEPARATING YOURSELVES FROM THEM AND LETTING YOUR LOBBY ULTIMATELY DIE.

Xxerox is about to win a trophy. Reasons why comp is bad.

All sites cater to their steadfast community and competitive mafia is the basis of this website regardless of its relative popularity.

The last round of competitive doesn't count since comp. was destickied part way through the round which slashed activity significantly.

And you're saying it'd be more active now as a destickied lobby with a competition? Lucid was removing it anyway, it was inevitable.

I'm saying it should be restickied and the training comp. should be axed

Remember when your opinion was relevant? I don't.

Step aside kiddo.

This game is so dead in any competitive sense that there is no point trying to fix it. Just move on.

Last Round of Comp which started after Main was made and Comp was destickied:

https://epicmafia.com/round/214 (431 games)

First Round of Main:

https://epicmafia.com/round/205 (1029 games)

the 4 or so rounds after 205 have all been consistently around 700-800 games played too. The 1500 point restriction for the competition makes it virtually the same as the restriction to enter comp lobby, with the one main lobby gold heart games are now slightly more accessible. A "bad player" joining a gold heart game in Main is no different than a "bad player" going to comp and playing a game there. The location is really not important from my point of view because the same situations will occur

Either way, the numbers for the last few rounds in Comp even before it was de-stickied was less than the first round of Main and probably subsequent rounds. The only trend is that more games get played in competition now when gun setups are comped.

And no, there is no reason to undo the merge. Comp Lobby was significantly dead prior to merger. Games took roughly 30 minutes to fill.

Nobody except you circlejerking anti-social misfits care about your skype parties that revolve around metagaming every single lobby you stack.

Of course, I think the merge was the right move.
about 10 years
And you can still do that if you want to, with ease. Plenty of the Main Lobby players don't ever join the lesser played setups that are comped.

Which is probably the only downside to the merger. As someone who has played directly before and after, gameplay and skill level are about the same.

Just goes to show you how Comp Lobby got before it finally got put in the grave.
