how is lucid/admin reinstating comp different from just making a comp lobby yourselves the only difference is that it's globally pinned in the lobby list other than that it's the exact same
are people seriously attempting to use round threads as a measure of competitive lobby activity? Why would you ever believe the forums are a representation of the userbase as a whole?
They represent 80% of the userbase I care about, the rest can go and *** themselves
that is also false, btw - comp lobby activity levels declined fairly significantly prior to the introduction of main lobby competition in round 205. I'm not sure why and it may have just been a momentary lull, but it was a definite low point for at least the year prior to the merge
the merge provided a spike in activity levels but they've gradually regressed since then, i imagine the rounds will be more active than they were prior to the merge but it's not going to improve the growth of the competition at all

all the arguments and rhetoric..... and it only takes me a few posts to own everyone who wants comp lobby.
Main lobby games are just pseudo-intellectual bitchfests and competitive lobby wasn't even in fact dying contrary to popular belief and teh last few round threads had 50+ pages as popularity was hitting levels circa 2012.

They're using games played, not forum threads? O_O
like if you really want a lobby of higher quality games then just create (or reuse) a new lobby, set a higher standard of play by making it invite-only or by making the rules tighter, etc., and make your lobby's trophy somehow more "meaningful" than the main lobby one
