are people seriously attempting to use round threads as a measure of competitive lobby activity? Why would you ever believe the forums are a representation of the userbase as a whole?
this is like when i switched from wow to comcast, i thought hey that was gonna be great, then it wasn't so i switched back to wow. it's really bad and now i wish i had comcast again. at least its not uverse
P.S: Bad players do not deserve trophies. Another reason why comp should come back. Noobs screw it over for actual good players. I was rooting for 3 players and they all failed to run. No bueno.
The amount of bad players who won trophies in Comp nullifies this argument entirely.
luck is probaly a higher factor in winning a trophy than skill - I'd say definitely but I don't want to claim that without doing any math
people over-romanticize the past every time there's change
except you. you are a paragon above all these lowly sheeple, am i right?

Main lobby games are just pseudo-intellectual bitchfests and competitive lobby wasn't even in fact dying contrary to popular belief and teh last few round threads had 50+ pages as popularity was hitting levels circa 2012.
