I met my fiance online. We did long distance all through my senior year of college while he was serving in the army in Korea. After I graduated in 2011, we stayed in a LDR for another year. He lived in KY and I lived in PA. In December of 2012 he moved up to Pennsylvania to live with me, and shortly after we got engaged. And they lived happily ever after.
Online relationships can work in the right circumstance if you are committed.
I'm "online dating" projectmatt rn because long distance sucks but we consider it real because it kinda is :P yeah we'll get thru it for the time being :3
1) you aren't receiving any love and affection from such a relationship 2) you guys aren't gonna be together forever, you will break up eventually and move on so it's a waste of time 3) how can you be in a serious relationship without any love or affection 4) you'll have no one to take you to prom
hey why would u say something like that? why does their relationship affect you? that's downright rude. if they're happy let them be happy.

well there is one exception where online dating IS acceptable, if it was a famous celeb and I confirmed she was real, I would definitely do it. but what are the odds of that?

i don't think online dating is a waste of time if it becomes something irl. like it can start out online but why make it strictly online because that's a waste of time. meeting online then making it something irl is fine but i would never just strictly edate. sounds super boring and people need to be in each others presence for something to keep going
"if" it becomes something IRL. and most of the time, it won't so it's really a waste of time. I don't see why men resort to online dating when dating is 10x easier IRL, it's a complete waste of time

i never did but my sister met her boyfriend online and they seem chill and have a kid and stuff
My childhood best friend met her husband online but they lived in the same state and were like 4 hours away. In some cases it can work, but I'm mostly anti-online dating. It's too stressful and pretty sad. You wanna hold/kiss/be with that person and you can't.

online dating is lame, it's for beta males who can't pick up girls traditionally in real life. only weak men resort to online dating and if I were a girl, i would find it unattractive for a men to try to date me strictly on the internet
now then, there are certain exceptions to this rules, if you are using online (such as facebook) in order to make plans with me in real life and i dont know u then that's sometimes acceptable, but for men who take online relationships seriously, i laugh at how much time they're wasting

I think if you like someone it doesn't matter how you met as long as u make each other smile.
