After careful deliberation, we have decided to unsuspend mw295 from Round 206. This is a pastebin prepared by Retti explaining why: http://pastebin.com/PstSmdJc
To clarify what happened, last night I had unpaused the round and suspended him for meta abusing throughout the round, based off the bin caroline had posted and the screenshots Emmerr had taken of his gameplay, which I found to be very unaccpetable and suspension worthy.
However, after I went to sleep, Retti was approached with a pastebin that concluded that the games shown in this report (https://epicmafia.com/report/104355) were from last round and not indicative of his play throughout this round. I had gone to sleep, so Retti took over and paused the round to take more time to look at this bin and to take more time to mull over the details and whether this was the right call.
He concluded by looking through his games and noting where he had outwardly stated this meta and most oftentimes, since being warned by myself and his mentor, Anthony, about his playstyle, he did make a conscious effort to change.
Although there are aspects of mw295's gameplay that are borderline OGI, Retti's comments about ATE is true and it is difficult to prove how much of an advantage he gleaned throughout his run as a result of this meta, which was not clearly stated anywhere, but only widely known. There are instances throughout his run where he "uses ATE" as mafia, and instances where he ATE'd as town and was lynched anyway. Thus, it is difficult to discern how great of an advantage he received from this meta.
That said, moving forward, we are going to be taking stricter measures against OGI and how they impact players' runs. mw295's play had previously been full of OGI, so the violation will stay, but there isn't enough here to disqualify him from the round as most of what was reported was in fact from the previous round where he got 4th.
If this sort of clearly stated honest meta shows up again in excess anyone's run, they will be looked into and disqualified via OGI. There is not enough indicating mw abused meta to his advantage during this run, and it's clear from looking through the games more closely, that he abandoned clearly stating his meta every game, and broke it a few times. He did not explicitly state his meta and stick to it throughout the round.
I would like to apologize for the confusion regarding the round's end and would like to thank Retti for stepping up and making sure that we made the right call.
Please read through the pastebin linked above for more details. Thank you.
