I hope not. I've seen people react in similar situations on rulings previously, so I won't be too surprised if someone tries to do this, if only to attempt to make a point.

i doubt it other than the regular troll on an alt. every time there's a choice emil doesnt agree with he says "well im gonna do it and see if i get away w/ it" but he really doesnt.
This is one of those cases where there really isn't a right decision. If we suspend him, it's too strict, if we let him win, it's too lenient.
It's really our fault for letting him play the way he did for the entirety of last round and in his training round run, because now it's pretty well established how he plays. He stopped outwardly abusing his meta ("I only ATE as town") and instead it's just sorta known by everyone and not talked about as outwardly and in game. The meta was proven dishonest since he used ATE as mafia, it's just that he didn't use it as much and in the same way. It's hard to keep your game identical as either alignment, and some people are much more obvious to read than others.
And yes, Jill is correct.
Meta is a necessary part of the game, it's just how much it's used and whether it gets to a point that it's abusive and automatically affects how it's played.
I foresee some people now are going to try and mimic this style where they establish a meta and then the next round run once it's planted in everyone's heads. I'll be pretty miffed if anyone is low enough to try and do that. Just enjoy the game and win without having to lean on meta.
Being regarded as a good player is more important than winning trophies using cheap tactics imo.
it would depend on the circumstance. ur paste on mw had 3 games from last round which was the cause for his ogi vio, the suspension was overturned bc there wasnt enough evidence that suggested the ate affected his run this round.
Question on meta abuse: Can we ban the phrase, "I do not host kill!"

whether or not he follows it or does something new, we'll just have to see but thats how it was handled before.

no i'm saying the precedent has been set before bronto.

did you even read brontos comment on mw's report??? obviously not

you're dumb, the precedent that someone who just uses honest meta all round long gets a cheating violation and is taken out of the running.

okay i will say what i wanted to on here then. the flaw in the outcome of mw's case is that bronto set a precedent and then changed his mind. the precedent that was set is an ogi vio and round suspension but what if this happens again and that user who abuses meta trophies unfairly? hm?
