https://epicmafia.com/report/248687 I'm sorry but the moderators are pulling the same garbage that they did last time I was running. This wasn't gamethrow, you linked a thread there, do you honestly expect everyone to read that longass thread before they play Manhunt?

I was agent with a Killer and a Spy. I was in autoloss, they weren't going to no lynch, they were going to lynch me until I said I'd rather killer win for the meme.

You guys act as if they were going to no lynch, and kill each other, but that was never a scenario.

This wasn't at all vio worthy and I'm appealing this for that reason.

I don't deserve a gamethrow violation, ANYONE who read that game can see I clearly wasn't throwing and was playing with the intent to win.

It's definitely flawed for competition

When people dont understand the setup they say it is flawed. Common mistake made by people with low IQ.

lmao could say that about any round with A&D, FJ 2.0 or the Sheriff setup

Shut up

Yeah, you're right, except in regular setups, it's one tram versus the other team. Someone is always outnumbered. This is 1 v 1 v 1. No matter who she voted (that wasn't herself) was able to secure more points than the other. That is a product and flaw of the setup, not Holden. It never should have been comped.

If there needs to be this much discussion and controversy over this decision I think it needs to be overturned and Holden should get the benefit of the doubt

Yeah, but Holden thought she was in autoloss, so, basically, it did not matter who she voted. Voting the other person would have been against Calcium's wincon. Was she obligated to self vote and let them duke it out? I think not. She lost, so she was done.

This round is a sham with Manhunt anyways

I understand where u are coming from, but when something with so many moving parts is (re)introduced to comp after a long period (I literally have never played it prior to this round) you need to give players a grace period where you’re a little lenient on stuff like this.

To be fair, it was comped back in February too (and in one other round since I believe), and it's been a highly played featured setup throughout the last 4 months.

Game throwing/almost all other violations have nothing to do with knowledge of how to play the setup, if that's what you're referring to.

That's what devante is referring to.

I gave the vio because he said he was doing something for a specific player's wincon.

in response to the comment on the actual report, who the * reads forums before playing a comp set up. if something is too complex that you have a thread on how to play it to not throw, then don't comp it!!!!!!!!!

So you burn the house instead of getting rid of the insects?

I get you're attempting to use the same analogy as callback humour but it's not applicable in the same manner here. About half the playerbase doesn't read the forums at all. Do you search the forums for a thread on any new setup you're about to play? I'd consider myself lucky if a new player bothered to click on the in-game tab for strategies lol

It isn't difficult. I'm fine with this being a note given the setup and the complexity of the situation. But, I do agree that similar cases should be moderated under the GT rule and will make an announcement accordingly. I just felt strongly that from that one line it should have been a refund and I did just that.

Yeah, I think noting it would be a much better course of action. In this rare situation u can say fk the “refunds need to be followed by a vio” rule. I understand where u are coming from, but when something with so many moving parts is (re)introduced to comp after a long period (I literally have never played it prior to this round) you need to give players a grace period where you’re a little lenient on stuff like this.

My first reaction in pm with the situation described to refunding it was no. As I said, having read the game and finding that line changed my mind. Believe what you want, it's not my problem or concern.
almost 7 years
Bro you refunded because a mod lost..don't lie.

If it were anyone else, it would not have been refunded. Anytime someone gt's, or doesnt know how to play a setup you are issuing a refund now?

I want Nathan to explain to me why is it so difficult to comprehend that the user didn’t show any intent, other than this one line you’re misconstruing to throw the game

funny that you guys wonder why this website is dying but do everything imaginable to make it absolutely insufferable and unsustainable by punishing people when you could, i dunno, be taking extra steps to ensure that they understand how the game is played and can enjoy it rather than feel demonized over what's obviously a simple mistake.

Actually mods have done what you are suggesting. Lukeskywalker did the same thing and got a note. But holden isnt an afk noob. Holden is an active runner and knows everything. And their action did not only affect the run of many runners but was influenced by the leaderboard.

So this was a very complicated situation and the mods had to involve the admin.

To dumb people like wajjj, read what pranay said earlier

Towns way to force a nl is through a threat of crossing the first person who votes them. It means the killer or spy has to give a cross to the other and hope they hammer with them and not against

You're right that if spy or killer initially voted nl instead of the remaining town it'd be suicidal because you're telegraphing your intent

Also not sure why anyone is even arguing this point because calcium got the solo win because this essentially happened; town and maf crossed and he had a hammer on joint or solo win.

You can argue some things but it's not super rare that town wins in this situation if they can get the nl through

Try and be a professional and dont call users dumb when you are wearing the mod star on you. It creates a very bad image of the mod team. As a user you and I can do all that. But as a mod never.
