PMing you the stuff about your setup but: Anyone can host given that they are reasonably credible, and you could also play unranked and have more fun in closed setups than now. Basically closed setups is just take the "more permutations" to the ideal level. The only roadblock (needing a host) is negligible because there are plenty of people who would be willing to take some time balancing a setup slightly to play it. Even setups we play now could be used in closed fashion.
To continue our conversation from the other night:
More multi-setup permutations will not be ideal at all. First off, I do not think that closed setups (real closed setups) would be comp'd, I think that they would be played ranked/unranked and that credible people would host them. In a closed setup, you have no idea what the game creator did to make balance, whereas in a multi-setup, you do. A multi-setup is a semi-open setup, and is not closed by any means, and is much different. The main reason for closed setups being so great (fakeclaiming and a focus on scumhunting) would be all for not if we just increased multi-setup capacities.
We could play it to check it out, I can help with the best. I took a look at it, it is looking good, although I am not a big fan of multiple set ups. Let me know when you ll be playing it, right now is a good time, I mean before the set ups for the round are posted.
Uhh, nothing complicated, I just assume random lynching which is imperfect and work the probabilities from there. with cop counter claims, town has a 50% shot of lynching correctly, then 66% of winning if they do, and 33% if they don't. Not claiming that day gives the potential for an automatic win if the second mafia is lynched, but otherwise it's a 50% chance of winning after a mislynch. That means the overall EV is something like 8 percent higher if you include the chance of you being lynched - but IMO it's much more reliable to get a player you know is scum lynched and ensure you have a townread among the 3 blue claims.

I did the math in the GY and while you not counter claiming actually raised town's EV, I maintain it wasn't the correct play because you ruined town's chances of lynching scum on day 2 and a bad player like FLQ was never going to believe you

i'm fine with constructive criticism and the first thing I even said after the game ended was "i felt so obvious". it's just that you said it in the douchiest manner possible.

next time I get partnered with the shittiest maf members alive and I lose, telling me first thing "WOW YOU BLEW SHIT I WOULD'VE HAMMERED YOU I WON =P" is probably the quickest way to piss me off. i'm glad you know now.
