Also "misguided interventionism" and "anti-totalitarian interventionism" aren't really the correct words to describe actions which were largely motivated by profit and/or to serve as political distractions rather than on the basis of any sort of moral agenda. Last time I checked Iraq is well on its way to being destroyed by rebels who want to establish a theocratic state, Afghanistan has a corrupt government that will be toppled the second US forces leave and will end up reverting back to Taliban control or worse, and idk about Serbia and the others but I bet it still sucks ass to live there. Yep, sure is working out well.

Yeh, too bad the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait wouldn't have been possible had Iraq not had a massive stockpile of US-sold arms left over from the Iraq-Iran conflict. Taliban wouldn't even be a blip on the map had the US not armed and trained them when they were fighting the Soviets. The US provided $97 million in training and weapons to Serbia before '91 too.
