Threatening to report as an attempt to alter the course of a game is "Outside Game Influence" and it is punished for ranked games. Save that for post-game. Also, the "meteor" system message applies exactly for the day/night phase it comes up. When you see the message, either as mafia or town, you must lynch or kill.
