While Lucid is gone, I'm going to start making a few lists of stuff for him to investigate once he gets back. To start, let's talk about sl0nderman's least favorite kind of role: alignment swapped roles.
What roles, new or old, deserve to have alignment-swapped counterparts? A lot of the new roles have been village and could use some mafia versions. What about the vice-versa of that? What about the rare third-party alignment swap?
I'll start: I think Monkey and Jailkeep could both use mafia versions.
Just a repost of these "liability roles" I had in mind:
Defiler/Necromancer - Every night, has to drain a fellow mafia member's soul. - Drained member will be unable to take any actions that night. - If defiler is left with no mafia partners, it dies. - Sided with the mafia.
Lecher - Is assigned to one mafia member to be their illicit lover. - If lynched, calls out the name of their illicit lover. - Sided with the mafia.
Mafia-sided treestump has the same problems as mafia-sides celebrity: why is anyone going to trust you?
Conceivably, crier has the same issue. Maybe someone can justify these two swaps though, because after all: people still trust agent and spy when they’re in games together, don’t they?
Maf-sided anarchist: nihilist, agitator, terrorist (if it wasn't already taken), instigator, insurgent, fanatic, and so on
Probably doesn't go to maf meetings
Gives someone a bomb every night. The bomb blows up at a random time interval, killing town and thirds like usual, but either revealing mafia members (like anarchist) or not killing them (like associate).
Bomb is a great role and while there could be a maf-sided bomb you could just make it so terrorist will blow up whoever kills/shoots them and the only safe way to kill him is with a knife or lynch
