Is this worth a suspension?

https://epicmafia.com/report/254006

I find it strange that someone with a spotless record would be suspended for 24 hours after winning a game - TWO DAYS AFTER THE GAME. I also find it borderline libelous to imply that someone who has a 64% winrate is "throwing games".

Here's a question I posit to you: If honestly claiming is gamethrowing, why is a moderator encouraging me to do it in game? Not to single out charley, because I don't even think that what I'm doing is gamethrowing, but if it is then what she was doing was clearly "encouraging rule breakage" or whatever other nonsense is in the rules for this site nowadays.

Please get on the same page about this.

she isn't encouraging rule breaking by asking your role - asking someone's role is standard play

claiming mafia is gamethrowing

claiming hooker is intentionally playing against your win condition, trying to "save" it after by saying it was wifom doesn't change the fact that you intentionally played against your win condition due to an account gimmick -- which is ogi, btw

Is this a standard for anyone that does it, or just this person since they did it across multiple games?

If the answer to that question is yes it is a standard for everyone, then do we play with the idea that anyone who claims mafia is town, and if mafia claims scum, then they're GTing?

Because that can be used in such a broken way (i.e. If you're town just claim mafia, since if scum does it they're game throwing)

You can try and win 99% of your games but if you throw just one, it's still gamethrowing lol

a player with 64% winrate is "intentionally losing the game" according to our mod team

Final point:

Our understanding of this game is inherently results oriented. This statistic speaks for itself whether or not I am "throwing games":

The rest is up to community interpretation.

If the moderators want to drive away the few good players that still come on this website, be my guest. Just don't sit there and lie to me pretending that what you're doing makes sense.

tbh i dont think its gamethrowing

think abt the long term

u roll town more often than mafia + the meta ultimately benefits you

when u roll maf and confess to being maf, u can still win by:
-playing it off as a joke
-forcing fake interactions etc to make partners seem town
-allowing ur partners to carry

Exactly as I argued in the GY.

People "joke claim" hooker or other mafia roles all the time to no punishment, can pull up report queues that show this. Claiming your role and believing said claims fall in the realm of player discretion (as it ought).

Because of this to punish me is really an attempt at a certain type of censorship, a censorship against play styles. If it is conception and desire of the player it must be dealt with, lest it can be proven to be intentionally malicious. This is also distinguished from trolling, which would be doing so for no reason at all. This case was not a troll nor an act of malice but my way of playing in response to the game itself, concerns for the current status of the community at large and the degeneration of standards of play on the website at large.

denial says

hmm. have you reported charley for encouraging rule breaking?

I'm not vindictive. I'm pointing out that I find the moderation team's view on this issue inconsistent as a moderator themselves saw no problems with me doing this over the course of 5 games and didn't warn me whatsoever.

Charley was only asking me to claim specifically because she knew I would claim mafia if I were mafia. Asking people to claim d1 in that setup obviously is not standard, and I was the only person she was doing it to. The writing on the wall is clear. Your choice whether or not you be intellectually honest and admit it.

"Gamethrowing - Intentionally playing against your win condition or not playing to win."

Tell me if I tried to get lynched or otherwise lose in that game. After the claim I delayed my lynch for a full phase in order to use my hook.

Really Ally? 24 hour suspension for "throwing games" in a round where I only lost one game (as town in 3 way)?

youll get more if you keep doing that gimmick

Making everyone play the same way is fascist moderation and not how you should be running things. There's a reason winrates average around 48% nowadays. You aren't addressing problems by banning good players.
