From the Ashes

over 6 years

With the site still down at times, older players leaving, and many users in the EU not coming back after the GDPR incident, is there any chance of Sandbox retaining any former glory, or is it all downhill until the last man leaves? Even if Lucid comes back, can he revitalize the siteā€”or is it too late?

In the future, if internet still exists. People will see forum posts, blogs, websites etc. of their long dead great grandparents frozen in time.

Common misconception! The owner of a dead website won't pay for its hosting and the website will be deleted.

I think it's up to each and one of us who still wants the site to exist to promote it however we can. Reach out to your friends, to gaming groups all around the internet and so on. There are plenty of places to advertise it, the real problem comes when you ask yourself whether it should be saved or not and whether someone new would be willing to come to a dying website.

It's up to the players at this point. People have to make a conscious effort to introduce new players to the lobby and play games with them. Otherwise, you won't have anyone to play with soon.
