perhaps it's because the N-word is prevalent in music and faggöt isn't, but like i know that i need a doctor song says "wrath of aftermath, faggöts" and i can't imagine myself ever being offended by someone saying that when they are singing along
thoughts on this guy (sevenseas, former banned user with 18+ vios at once and numerous ban evasions) pretending to be gay and acting obnoxiout to bait people into being homophobic?
i mean when it comes down to it, you can clearly tell when someone is using a word offensively or trying to slur, and when they are not. if someone uses faggòt with no intention to offend, then i'm not offended and i'm not upset they said it. i understand many black people are upset when white people say the n-word if it's a lyric in a song i just think we should find a way to place more emphasis on intention than words.
white people cannot for the life of them grasp not every culture production is targeted at them and its wild, u can still enjoy it, but no it was not made for your engangement
if we are gonna talk about reclamation then you have to realize the word that has been used hatefully is the one with the hard-R, the one with an -A is not used by people who want to slur or offend. faggöt is undoubtedly the word that has been used to offend and is still used, and is the same one that is reclaimed. you can talk about reclamation with the hard-R, but without the hard -R, that's not reclamation, that's just not wanting it used.
i get how reclamation is changing the meaning from somethign hateful to soething not
but how is a white person saying it in a rap song lyrics bad? arethey not being inclusive in changing the definition to something less hateful and being respectful?
some of my friends think it doesnt matter but i read online that No White people should say it
an easier example to me its tranvestites, they might do it for fun, leisure, or kinkness but its not hard to conceive that some do it because they feel equally confortable in passing as a man as they do as passing as a woman
Btw y’all can blame Joe Rogan for putting this gender fluid thing in my head . Prior to today I had no clue it was a thing

i don't think it's the same. i'm not super educated on the subject but from what i understand it's just someone that doesn't feel like they fully identify as either gender but rather a mix of both, and they feel more female/male depending on the day. this is a lot more "simple" than gender identity but i would compare it to being bisexual and some days you prefer men and others you prefer women.
i find the concept of gender fluidity hard to wrap my head around
i'm not "against it" and im not out here as one of those "THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDER" ppl i just find it hard to grasp, probs cause i haven't experienced it
if u are just saying are people gonna get offended by the view that gender fluidity is wild, probably, dont think it will get you censored in any cense tho i mean im not really out there questioning my gender, but i dont find hard to conceive gender as a spectrum and seeing how somoene might fluctuate on that spectrum, i mean im a man but i can see how there are man who are more manly than me, and therefore able to put me in a scale of masculinity
queer is an umbrella term that can cover a wide variety of sexualities. some ppl also just identify as "queer" like they don't really know what they are/want to put a label on it.
