My 8th and final violation came from spamming multiple 2 player games. I do acknowledge that this is wrong and promptly got a full vio from it, thus causing my ban. However, in this report https://epicmafia.com/report/244971 someone (who later turns out to be a banned user) is given a note. I have no history of erb before this, therefore in order for this to be justified, i should get a note as well. Does anyone else agree?

sorry soda i think bsm feels the vio is justified because he warned you to "be careful since you have 7 vios" so he constitutes that as a warning enough for you to not host pointfarms since "you know better"

just slap him a note and tell him not to be dumb and host pointfarms

also, still not sure why mods think its okay that a 8 vio ban can net you a longer ban when the idea was clearly that the max amount of time a user should be banned was 3 months

I remember warning soda aswell and have to do some serious mental gymnatics to justify keeping him unbanned when he kept screwing up.

But then again pointfarming is such a silly thing to ban anyone for.

It's not even solely this, for me it's more the fact that his eighth violation (the violation which gets you banned) was given for pointfarming, which to me makes no real sense unless he was warned to stop repeatedly. If he had a note for it from before I wouldn't even ban in this case, but only because that's really silly to give any user their 8th violation for something like that unless they were given MULTIPLE warnings, imo. And if he was, then I wasn't aware

i havent looked into his violations enough to know if they were valid or not, but i think in general that banning people on epicmafia is a dumb idea unless they do something severe

i don't think that. sorry if i came across as harsh. i definitely believe that if he racked up 8 clear cut violations of the rules he should be banned. but this recent vio isn't even a real rule. i'm not saying people should be allowed to play pointfarm setups willy nilly, just that the setup should be blacklisted. but quite frankly the mods have gone out of there way to justify banning soda when it needn't be that way. why err on the side of severity when that's never been the case historically? seriously. show me even a single time someone was given a violation for making a few blue-maf games. i will bow down and self delete if so
