I think at some point I told nat that I just wanted to get in just to force people to listen to my abysmal song choices, but I'm still gonna give my best on my musical shitposting. Don't drop out.
you can let me have a second spot :doge: but in all reality, neither pancakezzz or AdmiralJones42 is really that popular, so I don't understand your logic there.
this time I am absolutely strongarming this to try to make up some points. I have 15 recordings of songs that I sang (in one take, a capella, by bands only known as "rock" bands and not like punk rock, or neo soul rock or anything like that, just rock), and many of them are good and sure to win back a few points. I actually got 3 other users of EM trying to help determine which is the best.
Congrats everyone who got in! Hopefully you will all do good enough to shine and not good enough to make my untalented look bad.
I did Two-Headed Boy Part 2 for my audition so hey, why not do Part 1 for the first round?
This brings a question I'd like to have addressed by the honorable supreme court of singing judges. I love Neutral Milk Hotel, but Jeff Mangum is arguably a bad singer. How would we be rated when performing a song that's originally poorly sung, if attempting to stick to the original performance?
I can't speak for any of the other judges. However, I for one operate under the original object: judge the presented singing foremost. While I'm sure I and others would appreciate your capability to imitate, we are not judging a contest for imitations. We are judging your capability to sing. Therefore, try to choose songs that will showcase your ability. If you choose a song that does not, we don't have anything else by which to judge your singing.
If you are able to perform a song like this really well, you will likely get better results. But you also increase the risk you do poorly if you aren't able to pull it off. If you choose to do a song that is originally not well done, the best is for you to really make it your own and make it fun and enjoyable to listen to.

reminder that the enough competition, I will do it a capella and in only one unless if I forget how to talk before I sing. I challenge the rest of the competitors to do the same.
btw judges all those things you said we're true, except for the nervous part. it was only because I was (quietly) stammering with a cold
I do the singing in one take, but I provide backing instrumental most of the time.
