By general agreement of the judges, and for the benefit of contestants, I have written this response to help end confusions and improve things.
First off, it is the place of neither the judges nor the hosts to help you choose, create, or edit your works. We must remain impartial and, though we wish you the best, cannot give any player unfair advantages. Please refrain from asking judges and hosts to give you criticisms before the judging period, and please refrain from asking judges or hosts to choose or otherwise help select your song. We can give general advice (i.e., "No, Screamo isnt Country") but we will not offer specific advice. If you have trouble selecting a song, there are many third parties that can help; please use one of these.
Second, in terms of genre and song choice, please refer to wikipedia. If the original song is classified under the specified genre, we will count it. If not we will notify you if it is an issue. You may do a cover of tje song in any style, so long as the song fits the selected theme originally. Acappella is more than welcome as such, but by no means required.
Thirdly, this is a singing competition As noted before, we are judging your ability. We hope that players do the same. We, the judges, exist to help mitigate this.
Finally, if you have issues, please notify us first. We are more than willing to work things out. However, we need to be able to sort things out before they explode.
We appreciate everyone competing, and look forward to listening to and judging all the entries! Hopefully this will help and will ease some of the issues. Thanks again to everyone for tjeir patience.

Damn, I just noticed that you guys had a results thing from the auditions but it seems to be private so I can't view it. I'll send a request to try to get access. Also my ACTUAL Round 1 entry is done so I'll PM it to the hosts b/c I always feel weird posting my own stuff idk sue me
thanks man, I tried my heartest and my hardest. I sang from my heart and it made the most wonderfully melodious voice come out of my lips that I have ever seen in my life
