i am just asserting that heavy use of analysis in any kind of endeavor to understand something is the best way to optimize the quality of your understanding.

I just didn't/don't understand this debate about the term "analysis", because it seems sort of like you're both talking about different facets of it or... something. (Maybe my "analysis engine" and/or database and/or sorting algorithms are insufficient for understanding you there)

its probably more intuitive to take something you read and work out what you can but i think it would be more efficient to keep reading instead

it works for complex things too. yes you need someone to feed you the puzzle pieces most of the time but building things from first principles as much as you can is usually the way to go

i dont think so..if someone else worked it out and explained it well enough so that you can believe theyre correct it would save a lot of effort when all u need to do is understand whats already been established

If you're short on time yes for sure but first principles if done correctly always leads to the superior understanding that plugs into other related things better

ok..but u dont need to analyze something by urself to make the connections happen u can just spend a lot of time looking into the basics of something
