You act as if any NSFW sites on the internet know absolutely that none of their users are under 18. I don't see how it's more of a problem on EM than anywhere else.
The crux is that we have personal user-to-user interaction. If someone goes to some NSFW site then it's pretty much harmless because no one is there to harm them. On EM there is someone behind the screen, and that person needs to be trustworthy.
There's also no pressure for an under-18 user on an NSFW to upload content, which might occur in an NSFW game. That's a critical issue.
If you don't think it could be a problem - and it might not be a problem - then you can tell me and then I can rest easily, because sometimes when my moral radar gets pinged I tend to overreact. Thank you for offering a serious reply.

There's just been an incident in the past that's deeply disturbed me and I don't want something like it to end up cropping up in that lobby.
No one is going to take it that seriously and there are no minors in the lobby anyways. Relax.
...what about the people who I know for a fact are minors and who have signed the "I am 18+ petition?" If they've all been filtered, I'm impressed with your diligence, but I'd find it very hard to figure it out personally.
And if no one is taking it seriously, then why does it need to be 18+?
If it's never-have-I-ever or you are just using it to play jackbox, then just advertise it as a party game lobby and drop the NSFW tag. If your lobby's intensity is the equivalent of cards-against-humanity then I guess I've gotten all worked up for nothing.
I'm sorry if I seem combative, but basically:
1) I think the NSFW lobby should be renamed, because otherwise it appears a flagrant violation of adsense tos, and based on what you are saying it might not actually be nsfw.
2) I am concerned with interactions that might develop from the lobby, particularly if they involve minors. Since, you know, anything like that would be sickening and also highly illegal. 8 year olds would not be the problem, but 14, 15, 16 year olds? Yeah...
I'm going to stop here because there's not much else for me to say. There's just been an incident in the past that's deeply disturbed me and I don't want something like it to end up cropping up in that lobby.
More seriously this 'funzone' will probably need to be taken to another site (skype?).
I'm all for an adult playground, but this is not the right platform for it for multiple reasons, first because of our ad provider.
An NSFW lobby violates adsense tos, and adsense is what allows lucid to keep this website up, mafia, survivor, and all.
I am also very uncomfortable about having a lobby like this exist when I suspect there are going to be people who are under 18 pretending to be 18 and joining that lobby.
That opens up a BIG can of worms; particularly when adults might be interacting with minors. The survivor lobby has already had a few disturbing incidents over the years in an environment without any sexual charge. I feel like that could end up a problem in a well-known, almost open-invite, NSFW lobby.
As much as my opinion is worth, I don't really think this is something for this site. Having an official place to play games like never-have-I-ever and other racy games is a great idea but NOT for this site. Mafia draws a lot of horny college students but also a lot of high school students and middle schoolers.
So TLDR; dial up lucid, find another site, there are much more sophisticated reasons to shut it down other than the fun police are here
