‘UTEPILS’
Another word which has no easy translation. It roughly means "to beer outside" meaning it roughly means "to have a beer outside when it is finally nice outside again after a rough winter." Think of it like you would the first day that you wear short sleeves and shorts. Sound nice? Now add a beer. The Norwegians have their figured out and added to the dictionary.

isnt it just the best?! If you don't know norwegian, I hope you take the time to look at the translation. And if you ARe a native Norwegian, I hope you take the time to compare/contrast it with the US version of "happy Birthday." The Norwegian version is way more of a "here's to you" whereas the US/English version is "yep it's your birthday." LOVE the Norwegian version! (Even when it's not being sung by three handsome men).
