Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

III. The Rules:

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

Himiko Impoe and Retti all feel like town to me
(Himiko and Impoe more so then Retti) I like Himkiko's comment on Retti's filler post it's like saying a lot but when you really look at the post nothing of real value is in it. I don't really understand the huge bw that's starting on him though.

Like, I don't see why they're being so nit-picky at Kassidy, and they even misread. I think a small misread is okay, but mafia tends to jump at the chance to fos a person. I assumed by "his whole thing about NG codes" you meant the WHOLE thing about ng codes, not the one thing where he said it was a fancy way to say "restrictions" (which is presumably what they're called in most games of forum mafia where they exist) that tied into something that wasn't stating the obvious at all

The more this drags on the more I feel the argument will devolve into ad naseum, and that it's probably TvT. I didn't ask impoetic to defend me and I was still waiting to see what PonyLove said, but I don't think Himiko as mafia would keep trying to explain herself to this point, even if I feel it's unnecessary.

But in my experience, people who tend to jump at someone's defense despite not being sure of their read on them, almost are always mafia. Why? Because I don't feel like town would waste their time trying to criticize someone's read, especially if they don't townread that person. There's much better things they can do with their time. Also, the only other reason to criticize someone's read is that the person is trying to show other people that the person is mafia. Is that your intention? Because if so, you should clarify.

My read has nothing to do with the people he was responding to.

I've already read it all, and there was no need to say "Forbidden actions are restrictions", because that is an obvious statement, and it'd be okay if that statement took up a small fraction of his post, but it was basically half his post.

Maybe it is a weak fos on my part, but it's something that I didn't like, and I honestly don't see how you can see that as totally not filler.


Except that's not what you actually said. It's also a very weak fos because stating the obvious really isn't a scumtell, especially/at least from someone like Retti. I'm going to quote the posts I was looking at.

FIrst of all: Retti was responding to other people who were talking about forbidden actions by saying there was no point in discussing forbidden actions, thereby putting an end to the mechanics discussion which was not really productive and kind of antitown. So no, he wasn't just "stating the obvious."

Reread his posts. Reread your points. I don't know what you're thinking, but your logic is incoherent to me when taken side-by-side with retti's posts.

I have never once said retti was town. I think he's null. Ergo, I'm not defending him; I'm attacking your reads because they don't work in my eyes.

Also, you can see that as quick to jump to conclusions, but all I'm doing is outting my thoughts. My reads might stay the same, they might not, it depends how people choose to respond and their later participation.
