Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

You don't, which is really weird to read. I feel you've been overcompensating for a lot of things, which I don't particularly like. It's fine if you disagree with me or have a problem with me, but I didn't really see you come to a conclusion based on how you were feeling about me.

The slight tr on damned was more of a joke because in his previous post he asks for "slight" not to be used. And the faster I find other town, the faster I find mafia so idrc

Like obviously, early on, people aren't gonna have well-developed reads, and for the most part, I don't feel like people are gonna stubbornly stick to those. They're usually so people can start somewhere.

Look, I get wanting to wanting to hear people's reasoning for those reads, so you can see if they're well-thought out or not, but I didn't get that vibe from you at all. It just feels like you're criticizing people, rather than actually scumhunting.


It's really easy to pretend you're doing something than to have actual meaning towards it.

And sorry about the restriction thing, Retti. Denial and I were talking in Skype about it a bit before we got our roles and I just wanted to follow up on that after I got mine, which I think I had to do in-thread to avoid rulebreak.

I don't think retti was jumping to fos anyone at all though. He said he didn't agree with Kassidy's TRs; I don't see how that equates to an FOS or implied FOS. In fact, he specifically said he didn't see anything that was telling in the thread yet.

He also said he was against allusions to NG codes which is totally reasonable and I believe talking about them at this point in time is pretty pointless anyway.

Alright bois and girls, I have a pretty null read on most who talked but a slight townread on denial for not being afraid to immediately out a joking fos. I have a slight scumread on kassidy though for making "preliminary reads" but that's prob just because cody always uses preliminary reads whenever he's mafia and I have yet to see a town use it.

I think this is a scum post.

The townread's explanation is ludicrous and even in EM games, daystart trolling is definitely not a towntell. If anything, filler/trolling is way easier for mafia to do and is far less daunting to attempt than actual scumhunting, so it can be scummy in some circumstances/depending on the player and amount. Denial definitely trolls as scum.

Not only is that an excessive explanation for a shallow read, you opened with, "I have a pretty null read on most players" but ended with a scumread on someone. I think scumreads are important enough that you wouldn't get a genuine scumread and then still feel like you have an excessive amount of null reads (and there's barely anything to read off of anyway) but okay never mind honestly this last part is really shaky

At first I liked the last line but the more I stare at it the more I think it's easily forceable

And when I mean by epicmafia I meant in the format, yes we are on epicmafia but we're playing forum mafia, not java.
