Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

I also explained that him misreading could be mafia trying to jump at a chance, but I also understand it could go either way, and there's no way I could tell, however based on my previous reads, I thought it was fair to say that there was a chance of that.


Okay so

he never had a scumread on kassidy or implied he had a scumread on kassidy, and even if he had, what was mafia's incentive if they didn't push?

" This starting line made no sense for me, because there wasn't anyway asking what forbidden actions were, only just complaining. So, I couldn't comprehend why he started with such a fillery line.


I interpreted that as an argument for why we shouldn't be discussing them.



"I am not taking anyone who has openly alluded to their restriction as town therefore I don't understand konata's preemptive townreads on soda and impoetic." I responded to that by explaining I think it's a nullread, but I didn't see the issue with wanting to go somewhere with it, since it's a good way to get town started. I also didn't understand why Retti chose to single out Kassidy. (if that's konata, or I could be wrong) Especially because Kassidy for the most part, seem to be joking about it, not taking anything seriously.


Kassidy was the only one explicitly townreading people for talking about their forbidden actions early on in the game, and I don't think he was joking about his reads (what's the punchline?). Retti never outed an fos on Kassidy; ergo, it felt like you were doing exactly what you said was scummy -- jumping to an FOS without really analyzing the posts.

That said I don't think it is scummy at this point in the game, especially not in the way you did it, and especially not after you outed that read. I still want to not be totally on another planet from you in perception of the game.

I already explained why I slightly townread denial, I didn't think he'd start the game off as mafia joking around calling someone mafia. We obviously have different ways of reading people, and based on your vote, mine is better lmfao

So, there's my whole reasoning about why I see the Kassidy read as nit-picky.

Maybe my reads don't make sense individually, but seeing Retti's other behavior made me think he was mafia.

the reason i'm lean-town on you is BECAUSE you jumped to an fos early on in the game in a way that would not further scum's win condition, so no, I really don't think jumping to foses is scummy.

In my experience if you don't ask for clarity on reads that don't make sense there's really no way to get anywhere so that logic is also kind of flawed but maybe that's just me (I have a tendency to ask for explanations even in EM games and get fosed for doing it without a clear direction sometimes).

Why don't you look for town first instead of looking for mafia
