I saw the Blister account but 1. Am skeptical of claim to legitimacy 2. A lot of x2 games makes it more susceptible to luck, and Blister has largely failed to recreate that success across multiple accounts unlike other players (ex. Abe/Connor) I never denied that. I am saying that 60-62% in the modern day (Not FP) is similarly and potentially more godtier.
My point is that it is remarkably difficult to compare across eras as a result of earlier winrate inflation, with uncertainty as to equivalency in modern rates. It is not that they are not incredible achievements. I think some of my questions here are more than enough already to prove the inflation point.

blister took a 69% winrate across 10k pts recently playing consistently with a bunch of friends. wasn't cheating, just inclinations. games is the past were stacked, that's the explanation. it's not harder to win now, it's just there's nobody good here anymore. the whole site is one big sandbox now, why would there be? soben's stats were god-tier

once you've been on this site for as long as i have, being good at the game really just depends on how long and well you have known certain players. i would say i've played more games with you than any other player soda, which makes it easier for me to read you. that's why players like gerry and jeffrey etc all play with each other, it's just easier that way
dude u think all these clowns playing fancy pants have brought about 'winrate deflation'
There's a much better argument you could be making than "old players are better from my experience" which is really subjective and hard to prove.
The strongest arguments for the old players in fact being that much better are:
1. The setups. Virtually very competitive setup was Day 1 MyLo which made it significantly harder to win as town (and therefore harder to win overall)
2. Throwers/trolls running rampant. Again, makes it much harder to win as town.
All of these together would lower the expected w/r, and I'm still not exactly sure why it's inflated, but looking at the numbers and comparing them to the best players since now makes it incredibly unlikely. The inability of these players to reproduce these winrates in more recent play reinforces this hypothesis.
I was actually an extremely solid player back when I cared.

he was probably about the best of the later players, pretty much just for being opposite to brownpimp. you mislynched him, he was a fcking thesaurus of insults and never letting you live it down. this game is pressure. nobody wants to feel like any of those mean things shivv was calling them in the game
