it's a mix of that they stacked games and that this site was somewhat serious.

this site is social now, not about mafia. dudes play with girls and mates to have a laugh with, not other good players.

They would actually. This is why a lot of games did so well prior to the huge competitive releases. Ladders were reset at certain points in the year and everyone had a renewed interest. if you're competing to cement a top spot with the opportunity to maintain it, you place way more stock in the competition and your own ability. Whilst things are as they are now, each and every trophy or point earned just joins the fodder of illegitimate or disjointed statistics and values.

soben and maxwell used just run and win gold pretty much because they'd decided to run. it was pretty impressive to watch

last alt maxwell put on hof was farmed solely in classic and it was 63% on resurgence

nobody ever put an account on hof without a bunch of classic after those initial stacked games
