i think i really disagree w the thing where community image/perception/whatever is disregarded in the decision making process of selecting a moderator and instead, looking at personal interactions had with them

w arcbell for instance, i really dont think it matters how much harry trusts him, bottom line, the community whos information arcbell has doesnt trust him and he has had massive push back so??? why does it make sense for him to be working for them??

I don't get what petricigy as a mod can do that petricigy as a user can not. If they wanted to target minors they would have done so by now, it's not like being a moderator gives you a special privilege to do it.
Like honestly your argument couldn't be more wrong. Pushing for them to be demodded but still kept on the site will not stop them from doing "pedophilic" things. If anything them being a mod would actually keep that in check

Lux, I apologize if you felt threatened. I pushed for the hyperbole for a reason. I mean epicmafia moderators don't have some insane amount of power. They handle violations and suspensions on a website.

How exactly is this supposed to be threatening to anyone? How does their physical attraction play into that at all? When someone feels unsafe, it's because they expect danger. That's what makes them feel unsafe. So what are people so afraid of happening if not some gross hyperbole?

If you could explain that to me, I'd be happy.

Allright Im going to try this one more time:

Being a moderator doesnt put someone in a position to be able to molest/hit on kid, thats just a ridiculous fearmongering argument to make and I guess at worst she might be put in a position of trust if a kid literally ask for mentorship from that particular mod. But thats not even a moderators job, we got mentors for that so its not even a likely event to begin with.

At most her contact with you will be a verdict, and thats about it.

She isnt even a confirmed pedophile to begin with, we're literally talking about allegations and events that happend 4 years ago. The worst that we've seen her do is watch loli hentai. She has literally NEVER hit on any underage players(trust me we would know if she did).

Its insane how much you're blowing up this specific thing and while there are tons of legitimate arguments that could have been made why she doesnt deserve to be a mod, this is not one of them.

You need to go look up whatever fallacy you're using where you assume your position as a minor weighs more than the benefit of having Petri as a mod.

i agree, it's more of "they're in the spotlight" sort of thing. if they've been doing pedophilic things, then they shouldn't be on the site, yes.

it's not just 'they're a pedophile,' it's 'they're a pedophile and the mod team modded them knowing this without asking the community'.
So your issue is against the mod team who modded them, and not petri?
