Hawaii has volcanoes and oceans. Two themed teams, based around those concepts.
One team likes the volcanoes. Maybe we can call them... Magma?

I'm kind of torn between Rowlet and Popplio. I'm leaning more towards Popplio though, because the last time I thought a grass starter was cute and that it might be nice to pick it since I almost always go for fire or water, it was f*cking Chespin and the worst starter in that game.
but Meowth as a housecat? CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVING A CAT-TYPE POKEMON AS YOUR PET? anyway, Rowlet is my fave of the starters. I also love the girl character's design, besides for the top of her beanie (I think it's supposed to look like pom-poms that are on the top of some hats?) someone noticed also that in one of the trailers, the guy was shown wearing his shirt but in two different colors. I hope this means we get to change the outfits again, 'cause that was really fun! I'm so excited to see what the Villain team is gonna be for this. Maybe shark-pokemon themed?
Rowlet's probably gonna stay Grass/ Flying throughout his line
Litten might become dark, although the design's pretty plain, so that's still very up in the air.
Water starters often stay just water, so that could be the case with Popplio too. ice and fairy are definitely possibilties, however.
Solgaleo seems to be fire, probably mixed with something. it seems like light, but i doubt they're gonna do both light and fairy. maybe fairy gets a rehash to light? that'd be pretty cool.
Lunala is a bit less clear. Definitely Flying, mixed with either dark, ghost, psychic, or maybe even water.
grass/flying is an interesting combination. im willing to bet on fire/dark and water/ice. I think i'll go for Popplio. Idk which version im getting since i'll wait to know the exclusives, but atm i'd rather get Moon

So the game takes place in the Alola region (looks like Hawaii), the professor appears to be your cousin. We see the three starters, a grass owl named Rowlet, a fire cat named Litten, and a water seal named Popplio.
We also see the two legendaries, Sun's appears to be a white Lion, Moon's is like a giant Bat thing but looks super weird.
