Hello Sandboxers. Lucid is interested in making new roles, and I know you guys have a bunch of good ideas, so what I'd like to do is get a list of all of the best ideas in this thread and have a poll that you guys can vote on for lucid to make.
On an unrelated note, if you guys know of any bugs with existing roles, please PM me so I can test it out and forward it to lucid so they can get fixed

the dead can't speak IRL
my necromancer is better because zombies are basically dead people
a person who conveys thoughts or energy from a source believed to be outside the person's body or conscious mind; specifically : one who speaks for nonphysical beings or spirits.
Soothsayer:
a person supposed to be able to foresee the future.
Demon: -3rd Party -Selects one player every night -If selected player's role can kill, the selected player becomes the Demon's Master -Demon attends a night meeting with their master -If the Master is targeted for any sort of kill (day/night/lynch), the Demon dies instead -Wins if Master survives
Optional stuff: -Any partners the Master has are also in the meeting -Wins if surviving without a master -Demon shows up in place of its Master in reports
The Demon can still be targeted itself for kills and lynches. It's not immune to death if directly targeted.

necromancer should have a hood and a staff, also necromancer should be zombie related, necromancy doesnt deal with talking to the dead
Apprentice - Aligned with third-party - Appears to self as apprentice - Apprentice is either randomly assigned to someone at the start of the game or gets to choose someone to look up to N1. - Once the apprentice's person dies, the apprentice will take over that role.
Right now it's admirer/amnesiac. Takes over the role of anyone in the game, once that person dies. It needs something to stand apart. What happens if their target doesn't die?
Briber (this should be called the Don, not that dumb new role) - Sided with the mafia - Once per game, the briber can make an offer to anyone that isn't a member of the mafia to join the mafia and the person who who was made the offer will have a chance to either accept the offer or deny the offer during the day and they must act on it before the day is over. - If the offer is accepted, the person who was made the offer will become a regular mafia member. - If the offer is declined, the briber is revealed and the person who declined the offer dies. - Does not attend mafia meetings
Chance? Why chance? Just let them choose during day meeting.

Demolitionist
-Visits someone every night (can include mafia members) -Demo will set a mine on their doorstep -The next night if someone visits, or if the chosen person leaves, they will explode (will only kill one person and will kill the chosen person first, if visitors also come) -Sided with the mafia
-Sided with the mafia. -Can target another player at night. -That player is turned into the vanilla role of their alignment. -Townies turn into blues, mafia and traitors turn into nillas, and Cthulhus turn into cult. Most third parties don't change.
Goon
-Sided with the mafia. -Appears to detectives as blue.
wouldn't third parties turn into fools? cause fool is yellow and third party is yellow in sandbox
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Wizard - Once per game, the wizard can switch two people's roles around - To win, at least one of the people that the wizard cast a spell on has to make it to the end of the game.
Judas - Aligned with village originally - Appears to self as villager - Appears to cop as village when Judas is in villager form. - When someone attempts to give an item to Judas or kill Judas during the night, Judas is converted to mafia (should be traitor, but that's no fun) - Cannot be converted while in the villager form. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Apprentice - Aligned with third-party - Appears to self as apprentice - Apprentice is either randomly assigned to someone at the start of the game or gets to choose someone to look up to N1. - Once the apprentice's person dies, the apprentice will take over that role.
c sided with the village party c each day or night can choose the following day/night's weather c each weather choice can only be chosen once per game c for day choices (i.e. these will take effect at night): blizzard - visiting roles have a 25% chance to freeze to death. rainy - visiting roles have a 50% chance to visit a random person instead. stormy - one person randomly dies. c for night choices (i.e. these will take effect at day): heat wave - all day actions are blocked. foggy - lightkeeper effect. windy - all actions, except voting (but including talking and whispering), have a 50% chance to fail. for talking this just means anything you say there's a 50% chance you won't say it.
This would be the most antitown townsided role right after civilian (really? lk day? blocked day actions? etc.)
-Sided with the mafia. -Can target another player at night. -That player is turned into the vanilla role of their alignment. -Townies turn into blues, mafia and traitors turn into nillas, and Cthulhus turn into cult. Most third parties don't change.

I like the Ice Cream Man idea, but he shouldn't be a meeting mafia
I guess that makes sense from a sandbox pov, but I'd also like to use it in comp setups.
