Nobody should really have their jimmies rustled in the first place. Church and Court marriages are two different things. And this new law doesn't affect church marriages at all.

'When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say."-George RR Martin
There is no place in the constitution that labels marriage as a right and thus it is differed to the states under the 10th amendment to decide since it is not explicitly stated in any of the constitutional amendments.

You throw around the term "bigot" slowbear but the only one being bigoted is the one refusing to listen to what anyone else says and instead calling them a bigot.
big·ot ˈbiɡət/ noun a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions. "don't let a few small-minded bigots destroy the good image of the city"

straw man argument that has nothing to do with the logic I gave.
Marriage pre-dates religion. It's a societal construct appropriated by religion, and later monitored by government.

But you are forgetting that NOWHERE in the constitution does it say that marriage is a right. No state has any obligation to recognize any marriage whatsoever be it between the same sex or the opposite sex. Marriage is not a constitutional right but was rather a religious institution that was later adopted by the government because there is value to the society and the government to recognize marriage. BUT they are under no obligation to do so.
If equality is guaranteed, then one group can't be offered something that another isn't.

Nowhere in the U.S constitution does it mention marriage as a fundamental right. If it is not directly mentioned in the U.S constitution it is delegated to the states as a state rights issue under the 10th amendment.
is it not outlined in your constitution that all people are equal?

THIS^
That was the point of the dissenting opinion. The majority Opinion has nothing to do with the actual tradition of marriage for thousands of years, its teleological significance to humankind and our continued existence or the constitution because nowhere in the constitution does it mention that marriage of any kind to any person is a fundamental right. It is constitutionally erroneous.
You're not seriously saying that you missed the sarcasm oozing out of that comment are you? Here, I'll put in a /s for you so you don't have to try so hard.

In the marijuana laws case, it is a case of state laws conflicting with federal laws, but in this case, it's a case of state laws conflicting with the constitution which makes them essentially illegal
