Alright, well. Let's start with evolution, shall we? Evolution is taught as fact in secular schools and colleges around the world. Because of that, many people has come to be evolutionists or accept evolution as the most accurate concept of life. But you see, the textbooks leave out some of the mistakes in evolution, or just put some of the mistakes itself as facts. Let's start off with mutations. Evolutionists say that mutations are beneficial. In fact, they are not. Sickle-cell anemia is one of evolution's best examples of mutations, yet sickle-cell anemia "not only damages those who have it, but in the process would normally eradicate itself". In spite of such evidence, evolutionists believe that "mutations accomplished all cross-species changes, and then natural selection afterward defined them". If mutations were helpful, "it would be necessary to have, not just one, but a SERIES of closely related and interlocking mutations..." Also, millions upon millions of harmonious, beneficial characteristics would be needed. Mutations are very rare and random. In brief, evolutionists believe in nearly nonexistent, "beneficial" mutations.
Evolution is not fact. Notice how there are many gaps in the theory. But people believing in evolution has faith in evolution being true. Like Christians who have faith in God. We both cannot really prove either belief with solid, factual information. Considering the huge gaps in evolution, and the omnipotent God Who is not physical. We just believe.
When I said that Hawking might have believed that there was a God, of course.

There are too many religions in existence for there to be a "one true god," so to you christians out there, what makes your God the right god?
I always liked the argument that Allah, Yahweh, and God(the Christian one), are the same, and that the ancient polytheistic religions were that same God, represented in multiple forms to account for different facets of the contemporary society.
But you can't know that for sure.......and in ancient times you'd be stoned for that sorta thinking.

Yes, if I was omnipotent, I too would allow humans to kill each other in great number over a dispute about which nametag I might be assigned.

Honestly, I am not a professional debater (as many of you have seen here). But I am trying my best to defend God and His Word. I hope I helped some people here, and I apologize if I said anything rude or offended anybody.
i've been a christian for a majority of my life (though i've recently lost a majority of that belief) and i've also been a 16 year old trying to debate christianity on the epicmafia forums. i don't think you're stupid at all and i respect your beliefs but my advice to you is that debating religion on these forums in the way that you are alwayssssss ends badly.
Thank you, and I'm still happy that I tried, at least. I just wish that I had more information so that I can explain to these people about Creationism. I'll try to gather information and continue later on in the day.
I mean, it isn't hard to take a scientific view of Creationism if you abide by the theory that Genesis is allegorical and that evolution is actually real, in that case "God did it" could apply to pretty much anything. You will have a tough time convincing anyone that the earth is young, though.

You realize that evolution is as factual as the gravity theory and it does contradicts creationism? Creationism is not to be considered seriously at all and even the pope agrees. (http://creation.com/francis). If you are sincere in your research of truth then you have to keep an open mind and accept to change your opinion when the evidence is overwhelming. Otherwise, no one is ever going to take you seriously
God never makes mistakes. He put all of us here on this earth for a reason. Also, I'm not sure if this is correct, but I've heard that Steven acknowledged that there was a God before he died.
which bit aren't you sure is correct? The bit where Stephen Hawking says he believes in god or the bit where you say Stephen Hawking died?

If there is a god we have an eternal afterlife. If there isn't and there's nothing after death than why waste time talking about this?
it's a pretty weird belief to think that when u die nothing happens and you're just in a cesspool of darkness, and u are just gone, because that just sounds stupid if u say it outloud 3 times
SmH
u can shake ur head now, but u won't be shaking it at the LORD

Honestly does this question even matter?

There is only 1 God and his name is Death. What do we say to the God of Death?.....[dramatic pause].... NOT TODAY It has nothing to do with this thread i just wanted to post this line from GoT. Have fun debating and reaching no conclusion because those who believe and those who do not believe in God will keep their beliefs regardless of what you are discussing here.
