I had the chance to meet some really great players in these few months, players that i believe requested to be a mod and they are still waiting to become one.
There should be a program called "Training to become a moderator", where 4 people (for example) are selected to become a "mod in training". They will be given the chance to learn and prove they are worth getting the position. This "internship" will last one or 2 weeks and when it ends the mod team will pick one person for the job.
Maybe this way more people willl get the chance to see how modding works and if they are up to the task.
Is this a good idea?

enough guys hit on her already on this website im not gonna make the situation worse. i'll pm it to u cuz i think ur in her league aesthetically
Don't fix things that aren't broken. Don't fix things that aren't broken. Don't fix things that aren't broken. Don't fix things that aren't broken. Don't fix things that aren't broken.
she was a terrible mod pick but she was in fact sabotaged. other mods refused to help her. arcbell recognised this and modded her, possibly with a degree of spite to the saboteurs. by the end of her term, she had stopped being terrible, through sheer experience. she lasted as a mod for plenty time after arcbell was through because she stopped doing things wrong
Had you been demoded by phill at this point? lol

arcbell had this idea, it was bad then and it's bad now
no one has given one valid reason as to why the idea is bad other than "Arcbell did it with one person & it went bad so the idea is inherently flawed based off the brief experience we had with it."
There's literally trial everything everywhere, trial police officers, trial teachers, who work under the superior person and they learn from the person, so when there's a need for that person to work they aren't just thrown into the battle with no experience.
Idk why you guys here on epicmafia.com think this website is some kind of alternate universe where things cannot work just 'cuz

let me tell u all a story about a hot shy chick on this website. she always behaved well and was apart of small (4-5 ppl) group of non-moderator friends. she didnt know many ppl or any mods. she was never bad mannered ingame or on forums... and HATED cheaters. she made forum posts advocating cheater awareness.
this caught the attention of mods and they asked her to write an application. it was glowing and they interviewed her and she was modded. but she couldnt break out of her shell and her mod pals thought she was just a stubborn spoiled hot chick who always wanted her way.
then dibbun showed up and she left modding so she could talk trash on forums

Trial Mods failed because the other moderators got jelaous and sabotaged the trial mods whenever they could.
Reading through this I had to respond to this, there was only 1 trial mod ever and it was laurierose. During the trial period becuase she was a lobby mod there was no coding for lobby mod actions and because of this someone was using the lobby controls to abuse. It was pretty obvious it was her due to the people being affected were people she disliked and it stopped when arcbell gave her access to a mod account to use instead. She constantly did reports wrong during her trial period meaning other mods had to spend time rereading them and correcting the wrong ones, which begs to question what was the point of her even doing them if they all had to be done twice. Not to mention that all new mods go through the new phase and none have yet to make so much of a mess. Despite the negative feedback on her performance from both moderators and the community and being an ex cheater she was still modded. She would go on to be extremlly bias during the harrold/lolwot reports and finally self delete because someone she didn't like was remodded. I don't see how this was in anyway sabotage and not proof that the system was inherently bad for the exact reason of putting people like this in a position of community control. Some people are blocked for a reason and creating a bypass system is just going to give us more lauries and tigerawrs.

Damn, I just trolled my self, admitting to being mafia(as blue) after blitzing on fake cop. Forgot about gov and I got ot'd too. Life is really sick nowadays
Also what you people are failing to comprehend is that the mods only want people tat share in or are willing to join in their hive mind. Anyone else will be complained about until they quit or are forcibly removed.
That's stupid xerox. Arcbell I know ur reading this, PM me how you had trial mods function & exactly what they did
They were mods with the "trail" part hanging over their head as an excuse for the "actual" mods to stop modding and focus solely on tracking their progress. Read the pastebin.

Yes it's really just a giant lottery where they draw names from a hat.
