Transgenderism is a legitimate point of debate whether you like it or not, and it's idiotic, morally repugnant, and outside the boundaries of your jurisdiction as a mod to delete a thread about it. Also Sonseray please link me the South Park clip
I don't like my legs. I was born to be legless. If you tell me I'm insane, you're oppressing me. Don't give me medicine to make me stop trying to cut off my legs. I have the right to change my body and if you don't support it you're oppressing me.

Children can't make decisions on anything else for good reason - they can't understand all the impacts. There's a reason adulthood exists.
As far as younger people go, hormone blockers are the standard procedure because they are completely safe and reversible later in life if your mind is changed, whereas puberty is not
transgender individuals will always no matter when they transition in their lives face backlash and reactions just like the narrative being put forth right now. the narrative is consistent in that it just says that transgender individuals should have transitioned or should transition at some other point in their lives. children and teens are told they are going through a phase and told to wait until they're older. the problem is that when they actually get to the age the narrative becomes polarized and tells them it is too late to transition. the overall message just becomes a "don't transition" repeated roughly 500 times.
let transgender ppl live and do as transgender people live and do
Masculinity isn't a curse, if they have depression because they have an uncontrollable urge to mutilate their sexual organs, perhaps anti-psychotic medication would be the most appropriate course of action.
i agree, dibbun, let's ignore the trans girls who denied access to treatment before puberty and suffered from life-long depression due to the irreversibly masculinity it caused on them
i agree with you, i think they should wait until the kid can make the decision himself before doing anything like hormone therapy. you're just making it sounds like he actually isn't transgender, which he very well could be and probably is.
My concern is that this boy is going to outgrow this phase and be forever haunted by the publicity of his family's exploitation of his condition. No idea how anyone can be qualified to assert their "true" gender before they've even had their sexuality activated via puberty.
Tell his tranny butt to man up. Be gay if you want but don't be ashamed of your donger, it becomes great fun once you hit 12 or so.

i mean it's a social construct either way basically. hold off until they're 18 and maybe they're depressed they've wasted a bunch of time. do it straight away, maybe they regret it, but maybe it makes them a million times happier. but what are u gonna do? hypnotise them into being men?
gender identity disorder is being transgender, it's not boys wanting to play with girl toys. i'm not sure about giving hormone therapy to a child that young, but the kid probably is transgender.
8 year old kid being publicly put on display as transgendered... hasn't even hit puberty yet and the parents are talking about hormone therapy.
The left-wing lunatic activists are really promoting this anti-gender classification bit at the expense of the normal development of children. This little boy is suffering from gender identity disorder and instead of being allowed to just be a boy who plays with girl toys (which is fine) the radicals want to lionize him as a cause célèbre and push him to dramatically alter his physiology to advance their own political agenda.
How dare you. How can you even begin to SUGGEST such an atrociously harmful idea as that. Do you know what you've done? Centuries of work, destroyed, in a heartbeat. You absolute fool. How can we possibly let ANYONE object to OUR rules? You'll destroy this carefully maintained status quo that we built on the backs of everybody else!
