MORE MENTIONS: Snowpiercer was great. Just got around to seeing The Lego Movie too. It was pretty awesome. I'm now part of the crowd that's pissed it didn't get a nomination.

Holy crap I forgot to mention Fury.

The final fight scene was definitely a little dragged out, but otherwise a great war movie. Great anti-hero message war too, when it came down to it. Wished that was a little more clear-cut though. Logan Lerman really did a surprisingly great job. Shia Labouef as well.

Shia did a solid job in Transformers, given the fact it was a poor franchise. The problem I have with him is how he basically played the exact same character in Lawless, which really didn't work at all. His emotional scences in Lawless were the worst parts of an otherwise great film.

And I won't even mention the Crystal elephant in the room.

Shia is incredibly bad and objectively one of the worst actors currently

Haven't seen Fury, tho

Fury is the best war film I've seen in a while. Even Shia Labouef manages not to be awful and Logan Lerman was surprisingly good.

I think shia is actually a really good actor

...but I did not like fury. Idk, just felt fake. over acted. Like that scene where theyre all like "best job I've ever had"

I know nothing of music. The brutal honesty I am referring to is the drive in this character, the way the movie dealt with its subplots like his girlfriend etc, not how accurate it was about Jazz

Uhh okay and how is that Oscar bait then? That just sounds like any movie to me.

I said calling it Oscar bait is more comprehensible than calling Birdman Oscar bait because it really was very far from that, just IMO.

Ok if that's your opinion...,.,.,.,.,,,,,,,,,,,..,.,..,.,.,.....,.,.,.,.,.,.,...,.,,,.,.,.,.,.,..,.,,....,.,...,.,. opinions can be wrong though like having an opinion that murder is good or something. and yes it does make me happy when you said if that makes you happy.

only other actors can relate to the "Oh woe is me being an actor is suffering".

that is why i really enjoyed it on a personal level to be fair

Yeah it's understandable if actors enjoyed it but not other people. It was pretty much making fun of everyday people that actually like superhero movies. The writer said it himself he has a hard-on hatred for superhero movies and that's why he made the movie even though his wife is in the Thor movies.

And I'm not being delusional. Just because you disagree doesn't make you or me delusional at all. It's how I interpret both of these movies whether you like or not, friend

Yeah I worded it bad, you're being ignorant not delusional (if there's a difference in this case).

If that makes you happy

Also that teacher had a mentality similar to so many teachers in an environment I live in currently so that was pretty dope. I just felt like it played a good line of not being too boring and not being overplayed in every aspect of the film.

Birdman is an arthouse movie. Arthouse films aren't for everyone, I'm certainly a huge fan.

Oh, Lucy was absolutely horrendous

Arthouse movies don't win Oscars, mate.

This one just did

Yes because it wasn't traditional arthouse, it was Oscar bait that needed a crutch because the writer can't write movies like I just said if you bothered to read past that sentence.

This movie was by no means "Oscar bait". I can understand saying that about Boyhood, about Theory of everything, hell even a movie as brutally honest as Whiplash. But not Birdman. No. This film is too intricate to be thrown off as mere Oscar bait.

I guess film is just subjective, pal

Uhhh brutally honest? You're kidding right? Go ask any jazz teacher if that film is accurate, it couldn't be further from the truth (I study music too). It's entertaining but it's not brutally honest in the slightest. Honestly you're delusional if you think Birdman wasn't oscar bait, only other actors or pretentious people can relate to the "Oh woe is me being an actor is suffering".

Yes it's subjective but don't be ignorant to truths.
