the chance of something like that happening before/immediately after me becoming a mod are through the roof though since 2011/2012 were literally just like "story of an insecure raging teenager"
Also the reason I was a bad mod is the fact that I am completely incapable of handling cheating cases, and Cory is an example of that.
The issue is not my ability to recognize cheating though so much as standards of evidence. My standard for what constitutes enough for a ban is way too high and simply not viable for comp runs. I never thought Cory was innocent so much as didn't think there was enough to prove otherwise. Probably 2/3rds of cheating bans would not have happened if it was up to me, which is why I make a bad cheating mod.
its like entirely possible you went full fugue state for it, it was like one of those blowups that went way past funny and into slightly concerning for your safety territory. i wouldn't forget that.
