Mod Statistics

deletedalmost 10 years

As Vancy asked a while ago and I was nudged by another chat today, I updated my old spreadsheet.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtijA93h82A3dDR6emNycnBKMUZfTHdDNXJTdjBNbVE&usp=drive_web#gid=0 (NB: oliver's OT rate is rather skewed by sample size)

Having people who do fewer reports per day than Cloudminnion is quite impressive, I have to say.

I know Rondar was asked to do it but the outcome was totally predictable.

Rondar was active when he was first modded. After that he pretty much quit EM.

I don't know why people would ask him to mod, he's not here as much as he used to, which is actually a good thing. If he became active in EM again I do think he would be a good mod (as opposed to the people that are active but burn down quickly) but he's just not active anymore

I don't know why he is even still a mod. He did 2 reports last week.

Tell me Retti, do you regularly put every single ISP or GRS into In Progress, so that other mods won't take them and leave you with the rly tough reports? ;_;

Which is why I liked the "first reported, first done" policy (with few exceptions like cheating) but for some reason, people don't like that anymore. Which is fine I suppose. Whatever floats the mods boat.

But if you're going to snipe all the easy reports, at least do it in a fair way, aka put them in progress as you do them, instead of sniping 10 ISP reports and keeping there for a whole day until you have time to do them.

Matt is the devil incarnate with his reports per day. And his high OT rate...

To be fair, if you did this about five days ago, my reports per day would be a lot higher. I've been active but I decided to take a break for a few days for personal stuff and now I'm building up my reports per day again.

I have no comment as far as my OT rate goes because I don't desire for a public debate

the forums were taken from me. they were robbed from me.

i highly doubt the mod pool is as low as much as they say it is. jasper's probably just afraid to mod new mods : )

It's not even that. It's that when someone has been a tried and tested C-grade moderator, why are you remodding them over someone who might turn out to be a Mantys or a Solaster, who at first sight didn't exactly scream "excellent mod material" and yet turned out to be just that.

I think it is obvious to anybody reading this thread that modding newer people is the key to fixing the problem here.

Well BearGuru, the 4 most recent "brand new" mods up there: Polo, bell, Pereking and gennehfarr, happen to all be matching that quota.

The mostly old mods, on the other hand, are the ones letting the whole team down.

EXACTLY. Newer mods do more reports, so keeping a steady influx of newer mods solves the issue of slacking very easily.

i told jasper the secret trick to kicking out inactive mods but he hasn't acted on it

Retti says

perhaps this will put me under fire but i think we should be harder on demodding people who aren't meeting quotas and ive told jasper personally that he is free to demod me if i never met it

but i think that jasper is a bit scared of trying to fill those spots again as the mod pool is low

Retti is 100% correct. If people are not meeting their quotas, they should not be modded. This also plays into Riot's strategy of modding many people and keeping the good mods and discarding the bad ones. Looking into the spreadsheet, newer mods typically do more reports, allowing the people who are gamethrowing and have not been given a violation for it because their report has not been moderated be brought to justice. This will also help the 66 odd reports that have not been fully closed.
deletedalmost 10 years
Anyone would think that that was a sign to mod new people.
