Yeah with entry level that's a safer route. If you're talking to a recruiter though and not the company themselves, give a number of what you're looking to make.

so you never really give out a number right? since it's entry level you don't want to come off as snobby or overconfident
how do you answer a question in an interview where they ask you "what's your salary range?" without sounding like you're either asking way too much or desperate for the job by asking way too low
Say that you've researched the role and have seen what other companies offer for similar positions (ie the market rate) and would like something competitive, within that range and commensurate with your experience, but that you are willing to negotiate.
