would make a great admin. He'd run a tight ship.

Allow me to expound on his virtues:

1) He'd always do the right thing even if it caused him a political headache because he's super anal about things being done correctly.

2) He's pretty smart so a lot of the time it comes easy to him.

3) He likes the site and the community. He actually likes this community. He actually LIKES this community...

4) He's willing to take up the job, and not just as a "oh wouldn't it be fun if I were admin" sort of deal.. he knows what it entails and he's ready and eager cos he's weird.

Please tell me more about the amount of applications. I never got an impression of it from my many months of receiving them.

If you encourage apps, you get a lot of apps from the non-comp community. Whether you have the balls to act on them is a different question entirely.
