Liverpool lose to bad teams a lot more often. It'll be a battle of whose defence can be worse.
The fact that our outstanding back 5 of Tyler Blackett, Chris Smalling and Paddy McNair with Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia as wing backs managed to beat Arsenal was hilarious though.
And almost the same against Southampton, except swap in Marcos Rojo for Blackett. And Smalling got injured so Evans came on.
If it wasn't for the fact we have the second best goalkeeper in the world right now, we'd be doomed.
De Gay is far from second in the world. First would obviously be Neuer, Chelsea owns the nr. 2 and 3.
a few teams are going to overpay a bunch of old dudes from europe to play for them in the hope it'll expand their brand
Sounds like something i'd hear back in 2010.
Portland Timbers got Nat Borchers from RSL. It's gonna be a good season hopefully.

My hopes are still pretty high for that. United still inexplicably lose to bad teams.

ITT we discuss Manchester United's run in the Champi... Oh.
Well it's fine. We can discuss their run in the Europa... Oh.
5 wins on the trot, and 3rd in the league. Remind me, where are Liverpool?
Gangbanging my gay butthole.

Balotelli's a stupid manbaby, and we signed him knowing this.
It's 2014. Kolo Toure is the best defender on an EPL team, and Steven Gerrard was the best player on the pitch for a Champions League match.

Instead I guess we can talk about how Brendan Rodgers got so mad at Rickie Lambert being bad that he tossed Raheem Sterling in at striker at halftime in a desperate attempt to beat FC Basel at Anfield.
Or how Markovic did something that was Suarez-tier stupid 15 minutes in to his shift.
lol at neil warnock being the best english manager being an opinion someone holds
well what are your thoughts on warnock?
I think he's done fantastic to get to where he is today and I think that's down to his childhood and upbringing. he was born in the late 1940's and spent most of his childhood in the 1950's, so it is likely that he was well drilled and disciplined from a very early age with his father most likely being a coal miner/ww1 soldier, the work ethic and determination will have been instilled into him at an early age. throughout his career, he's shown himself to be a true Yorkshireman and possesses all of the characteristics; no nonsense, passionate, hard working and proud of his heritage. there's plenty of spineless managers around including some british managers like Bruce and Pulis, but warnock will never say no to a challenge and that's what i like about him. his record also speaks volumes and, like mick mccarthy (another Yorkshireman), he is criminally underrated in the world of football.
Anything's possible with Allardyce in charge, i mean they have a core group of top, top players like nolan, reid, carlton cole and noble and to add to that, they have added firepower to the ranks in the moulds of valencia and sakho. i think they'll be around 10th come the end of the season, but when you have a top manager like sam allardyce in charge, well, anythings possible really.
He's been relegated (or sacked before his team gets relegated) more times than I can count.
Utterly failed to get Leeds promoted back when they were actually a team that should've been getting promotion.
He did well with Sheffield United, yes, although he had an 8 year stint there and only took them to the PL in the final year. But since then, he's achieved nothing. The amount that was invested into QPR, it'd have been an abject failure for him NOT to take them to PL. And he promptly failed when he got there.
Harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson, Sam Allardyce and Steve Bruce are all better English managers than him for sure.
1. that's down to poor owners who have little to no knowledge of the game
2. warnock would have seen leeds promoted, had it not been for the circus upstairs
3. they were in league 1 (I believe) and were the smaller club in their city at the time. what he did at Shef Utd with a shoestring budget was nothing short of fantastic.
